I think Sachin and Lara are the best batsmen of this era with Lara having an edge in Tests and Sachin in ODIs. The separation is very slender. They both are Legendary and it has been a privilege to watch them bat. Let us not bash such Greats. We only come across such Greats once in generations.
Sachin when he was young sparked a hope in a country who had the talent but not the will to flourish... Sachin raise hope of millions to especillay perform well against Pakistan..
The craziness to cricket in India has Sachin as its foundation.. The BCCI which is more powerful 'Cos of Cricket popularity needs no amount of convincing as to what it means to say SACHIN AND INDIAN CRICKET...
In a United States of India at least have some ego to indetify and respect a true Hero...
Its really nice to see so many people are supporting/loving our great "MasterBlaster"... I've seen so many arguments against him in rediff blogs and felt bad, but now really happy to see there are even more peoples who loves to see him batting for India.
My favourite sports person is Sachin Tendulkar.He has always made us proud, and with out him India could not make it to the final of 2003 world cup.But we also have to rememebr that he is not a machine, he is a human being, and so we should also treat him like this, we should not expect him to make a ton everytime he goes to bat, it is just ridiculious.And i don't agree that he sacrificed his teen age as he always said he loves to play cricket the most and he did it from a very early age.When your passion becomes your profession, no word like "sacrifice" should come.Sachin does not like to stay at home when India plays.
Why are you arguing ? Do you think it matters to Tendulkar what some people sitting in front of their computers think of him ? What matters for a professional ? Respect and views of his/her peers !! Tendulkar and Lara are rated as the best of this era by all ex and current cricketers. From Sir Donald Bradman, Sir Vivan Richards, Sir Garfield Sobers, Shane Warne, Wasim Akram, Brian Lara, Ricky Ponting, Steve Waugh, Allan Donald, WISDEN, etc all consider Tendulkar to be the best of his era. Do you think it matters to Tendulkar what some arm-chair critics who have never hold a cricket bat in their hands, thinks about him, LOL ??

Anyway, Tendulkar will be playing from 14th onwards. And I know it clear and well that he'll shut the mouths of his critics just like he always does. Everytime he takes some rest, the critics start appearing just like insects after a fresh rain .... and the moment he appears, they disappear just like that.

Yes you are right. But I also know that there are people who are jealous of Tendulkar because their own favorite player doesn't ever get 0.001% of the love and attention as Tendulkar gets, and are not even good enough to kiss Tendulkar's shoes. That's the reason they keep posting anti Tendulkar comments to satisfy themselves. Their opinions are worth as much as a stray dog scratching it's back near a garbage can, when compared with the opinions of the legends I posted above.
even foreigner like australian,englishmen,south african give standing ovation to this great man but here some people abuse him ,what a shame !!!!!!! a man who has played cricket for the country at the age of 14 sacrificing his teenage days for the country deserve better respect from us .infact he deserve bharat ratna more than anybody else because of mere fact of making us proud internationally.

Guys!! Kindly do not respond to messages which indicate hate against Sachin. Rememebr Silence is the best answer. Let these fools realize themselves when he finaly hangs his boots. Sachin will retire may be in 3-4 years. These fools will know his worth may be after 20 years!!

This is the most funniest posting ive ever seen,ur a twisted person to say the least,ur telling us he sacrificed his teens,wow,for what did he sacrifice,the Billions he has and what did he sacrifice to be precise? The foreign players hail him because they love the way he wastes the balls when he nears a milestone be it 50 or 100 and they love the way he is not a match winner under pressure and plays for personal glory,i think ur just trying in a different way that people bash him more.

Ha, ha .. Raman must be burning from fire cuz all the ex as well as current players always rate Tendulkar as the best of this era along with Lara. Somehow Tendulkar always ends up as the best of his era in every players opinion. Now since he have no reply to this, like a child he states that players want India to fail and that's why they keep praising Sachin. Just shows us that Raman still have grown out of adolescence, LOL. By the way, funny that Mr. Rosgulla somehow never gets rated as the best player of his era ... confusing, LOL !!

those who hate cricket because maybe there fav sport is some other game i.e hockey which is not half popular as cricket hates tendulkar a true cricket can can never abuse the great man ,even australian and english people give him huge respect.

you missed one thing. Sachin Played 146 Tests.More than 400 ODIs.Why did u forget it man? Shehwag scored 2 300 score@ 100.How many Sachin scored? Dravid scored 4 centuries in 4 consecutive innings and also scored centuries against all test playing nations. If Sachin is a legend, so as Dravid,Kumble. And ofcourse, Kapil & Gavascar. That means Sachin is one among many.Do you want more?

You are not comparing apples with apples..... You are saying you become great by scoring 2 300s. People say different. Consistently scoring 16000 runs shows true greatness. Has Sehwag, Gavaskar or Vinod Kambli scored them? Hanif Mohammed scored triple ton, so has tens of others done. Do you rate all of them as the GREATEST?
