ICC Concern over Kanpur Pitch
by Bihar Badshah on May 10, 2008 08:55 PM  | Hide replies

Ok, BCCI should agree on one condition on the ICC report about the Kanpur Pitch being square turner...if they also agree that next time India travels, Australia, England and South Africa and the pitches are fast and bouncy where the match gets over in 3 days , those pitches and their result should also be matter of concern...Cricket does not mean only fast bowling..what about Spin? If white's cannot play spin then we too have problem with un-playable unreasonable bouncy pitches..Time when BCCI should show its spine and stick to it.

biased icc?
by ben hur on May 10, 2008 02:38 PM

if any foreign team loses in india, the pitch is bad and non-playable. but if ind loses in ausi in bouncy pitches then its the fault of our batsman?

Bad Pitch???????
by Thomas Jacob on May 10, 2008 02:08 PM  | Hide replies

When you come to the subcontinent, you have to learn to adapt to those conditions available. You have to learn to play on dusty and turning tracks. In Newzeland or SA or AUS, you never get pitches that are friendly for subcontinent teams. There are pitches even the home country cannot bat first and last for two whole sessions. But they are not bad pitches. I guess ICC is just too crap and biased. I do not mind if I don't get any support for my view. But I have a feeling, this is the view of many Indians.

FOOL try to understand its not about spining or fasttrack..there are certain standards that we should maintain for preparing the pitch..its not meeting the standard..in AUS or NZ or otherplaces the pitch is neutral its not that its bouncy or speedtrack..our guys dont cope with that..its exactly the pitch which is of international standard

Will Rediff put this messgae before ICC
by indian on May 10, 2008 10:13 AM

Any Suggestion for betterment is most welcome. The pitch must be up to the test standard.
But what happens to BAD UPIRING??? Science has progressed so much and even the modern cricket is. Then why not umpiring will not be electronic way. When we can know whether the run out, lbw or any small point through electronic way so also the decision of out and noy-out should be. The software can be developed to make each and every run, result online / instantly. By this manual error or bad umpiring can be rooted out.

ICC warning is showing the racism again
by panchal ramanlal on May 10, 2008 09:17 AM  | Hide replies

what happen in the sydney test 2008. the level of bad umpiring made the india to loss the match. Even the umpire involved was Australian one and one famous for wrong decision against india. Then also the ICC has not given any warming the ACB because they are having white skin. The ICC should have taken some legal action against the Match referree and Captain Ricky pointing. But i know this would never happen even in the dream also. it seem to be the mutually understanding between this group of people that they want ot maintain the upper hand at any cost.

Why is the ICC blind to some countries?
by praveen rao on May 10, 2008 01:08 AM  | Hide replies

ICC as always has been very prompt in cnsuring BCCI for the kanpur pitch. Fine. Accepted that the pitch might not have been upto Test standards though the fact still reminas it was the same pitch for both teams. India did not bat on the neigboring strip. What I would love to know is what action did ICC take against New Zealand in early 2003 when India went there for 3 or 4 test matches? The pitches by all reports were horrible with the first innings of both teams finishing under 100 in a test match. batsmen were hardly ever in double figures. I dont remember ICC saying any damn thing to NZ about it while all reports indicated substandard pitches. ICC has always been for white countries and now more then ever are always on the lookout to rap BCCI on its knuckles for any departure from normal.

BCCI has been a cry baby and got more favors from ICC than any country.

1)Sachin despite proof of Ball Tampering was let go in 2002 in SAF after BCCI bullied them
2)Bhajji has been let go in Symonds Incident
3)Other than Azhar none of the players were banned for match fixing

All 3 asian giants benefitted by bullying ICC to allow their Chuckers to continue cricket

Shoaib Pathar
Muralitharan
Bhajji

Lot more incidents where Asian players were also let go scotfree for abusing gora players..so its a
tactic to cry the way u do and get favors from ICC

@ raman, it is wrong that icc gives favour to bcci. its the other way round.
no action taken against shane warne, mark waugh for having sold info to the bookies. matter kept under carpet was unearthed after couple of years. but asians get max punishments. even cronje got punishment from their own board that also bcoz he 'admitted' of his crime. what abt action against marlon samuels, etc.

as regards abuses, what abt michael slater abusing rahul dravid, slater didnt get any reprimand. even in bhajji's case, it was symonds who instigated him. symonds got no punishment. actually symonds was the culprit, but bhajji was targeted.

raman, you must be an ausi to think that way.

Raman, you are sick..anti desi..who have dis-own your integrity..Even if you in US/UK you are not white so never in your wildest dream could blend with them or will be accepted..also if you are in india and pro-LTTE then also it is shame calling Sachin as a person who tampered the ball...I think you have learned cricket recently..Go to the archive and try to get how Sunil Gavaskar etc were treated by umpires of australia and England and then try to preach sermons..But this does not means Bhajji should not be punished for his bloody stupid act..Sick Mind! India me rah kar India ko gaali dena ..is so easy...
