People who have the money are going to watch it because they feel it is entertaining. If there is food shortage, food prices go up, and farmers or businessmen who can get food produced through farmers can seize the opportunity and make money out of it. You may have scored 120 Runs in 60 balls but still on the losing end by giving away 100 runs in 5 overs or spilled a catch or missed a crucial run out or did not hit a last ball 4 or missed fieldings...and the list goes on. Typical examples are Tendulkars, Ganguly, Dravid, Laxman etc...these guys would score runs and keep their PVI Index tight but they can not take their teams to winning position because they are not focusing on victory instead these petty statistics.
