next rounds and semis
by Hari Balaji on May 08, 2008 02:06 PM  | Hide replies

Punjab (100 % chance of entering to semis)
Delhi(only if sehwag/Gambhir clicks)
Mumbai (if pollock continue to captain the side)
Deccan(if Gilly is the captain and he plays well, deccan has lot of chance infact)
Rajasthan( only if watson/smith plays)
Bangalore( less hopes)
Kolkata(can come up well if shoaib troubles the batsmen)
Chennai( I am from chennai and i wnat them to come, but frankly speaking, no chance)

The reason I felt Shoaib can trouble the other team is , though he is psychologically down still he is capable of delivering bouncers and take hatricks.. he can get early breakthroughs and can be economical too as many batsmen are scared of him.

This is true. Batsmen are adapting themselves and using the pace of the ball instead of hitting harder. Shoaib with his 140 kmh speed really gonna get hammered.

Arrogant Shane Warne
by Neel on May 08, 2008 12:26 PM  | Hide replies

Since rajasthan was winning, that has gone to Shane Warne's head, he is behaving so arrogant. He even skipped the media session yesterday and behaved rudely with media. Also when abhishek nair was batting warne was saying and behaving in a wrong manner.. if he behaves like that it will bring his downfall... he should realise that he is india and start behaving better with indians. he is behaving as though he is the only knowhow in cricket and nobody else knows anything

I did not get the feeling that Shane was arrogant. But even though his team lost the match,he made the match into a tight one initially by his field placements and motivating his players.

I agree that its an easiest win but he did his best to remove few wickets. The wicket of sanath was well planned, he removed the third man and placed him near sanath's favourite spot. Given the target of 140 - 150, Mumbai might have struggled a bit..

STOP BLAMING SACHIN.

Just rememberd his performence in CB series & during the australian tour. If he unfits why you push him to play. He will spk with the bat & hit people like you in to shell once he gets fit. if you cant understand cricket peolp with narrow mind like you spoils the national heroes.

Beware Ganguly and Dravid

Teams having foreign captains are in a winning streak.

Rajasthan
Mumbai
Hyderabad is also impressive after Gilchrist taking charge.
So other loosing teams like Kolkata and Bangalore will also start thinking in the same line.

First ask Gilcrist to play consistently and then put this kind of foolish posting. Next year ask DC to make a all white team and leak their shoes. What these foreigner captains are going to contribute for India?
