Welcome to the Cricket World driven by ICL. Lets be fair to ICL.
ICL was the first one to introduce the system of refering decisions to 3rd umpire by challenging the onfield umpire's decision. They were the first to recognise that spectator emotions and justice to players is important, rather than giving GODLY status to onfield umpire in ICC conducted matches where u r not supposed to utter a word, nor talk to him.
Comon, ICL I love your initiative. The very IPL, which is plagiarised from you guys, wouldnt have existed, had you not started all this.
KUDOS TO KAPIL PAAJI. KUDOS TO SUBHASH.
The next version of ICL with offical tag and about 10 to 15 players playing in IPL now, will be the most entertaining form of 20-20.
IPL is junk xerox copy and will continue like that forever.

On batting side deciding the timing of powerplay: This is going to ridiculous extent and making a mockery of the bowlers. As it is, the shorter version is loaded against the bowling side and this rule will make it even worse. Tomorrow they may even introduce a rule where the the batting side will decide who will bowl in the power plays so that they can score as many runs as possible. This is ridiculous proposal. The other proposals of using Hawk Eye to determine where the ball hit is welcome. It is high time they bring more technology to assist the on field umpires who are already under tremendous pressure as millions are judging them by looking at the replays.

I think it will make i very interesting. They are following this powerplay system in Australia for the last two seasons and it has gotten the scores down. Its easy to say the last 5 overs are the powerplays but when fielders are up and you have bowlers who can bowl 6 yorkers it becomes very hard to hit a four. I think it will bring forced aggressiveness in the fielding which is required for some compitition between bat and ball.
