PCB really should stop playing such gimmicks with Shoaib Akhtar. He has been banned, fined n number of times in his career, warned punished but Akhtar still continues to treat them with equal disdain as he used to to 10yrs back. Its just that Shoaib has got all the right contacts to make things work for him that gives him the guts to indulge in such a kind of indiscipline time and again. Mohd Azharduddin, Ajay Sharma, Ajay Jadeja, Manoj Prabhakar did not have contacts and powerful people backing them at the right time, so they are still paying the penalty for match fixing. This is a problem typical to Subcontinental nations only. Ben Johnson was banned for 2yrs after the drug abuse and then he did it again and was banned for life by Canadian authorities during the Olympics, that time they did not look at the fact that removing Ben Johnson for a lifetime would hit their country's chances to clinch a gold at Olympics. Sadly we or our neighbours always fall for the trap that banning a somewhat good player will deplete our chances even more. Shoaib knows it very well and thats the reason why brushes with the law so often and manages to get away with it. The final judgement of the tribunal is a eye-wash, Akhtar will be cleared to play for everything in June till he rubs somebody the wrong side and the rig-ma-roll drama will be enacted again and again till be retires on his own.
