It's a useless team honestly. There isnt one player who can single handedly take the game away from the opposition which is important in 20 20.

Maybe Shoaib Akhtar but he's coming back after a long lay off and after getting involved in quite a few controversies. I wont expect a great performance from him anytime soon.
he should include M Kartik as spinner and use Agarkar as batting allrounder. The KKR team will become good. Agarkar has batting ability as seen when he was sent as pinch hitter against RR and he hit 2 sixes. He can be used as an effective pinch hitter at No.3. What do u say?
RE:Ganguly should use Agarkar as batting allrounder
by vaibhav kumar on May 06, 2008 05:51 PM
Have I heard correctly. You mean Agarkar as an allrounder.
Probabaly he could have been known by that, if he had confidence and consistency. He is the most unsuccessful and inconsistent performer and the most wasteful despite being having the capability of being the best.
He is a proven non-performer and so inconsistent that you can never rely on him. In one match he will bowl like unplayable and in next 10 will get banged like anything. In one match will score some quickfire and in next 10, will score 0 runs (remember run draught in Australia down under, where he scored almost 6 ducks).
I would have loved to see, IRFAN being talked as successor to AGARKAR. But he wasted all the opportunities come his way.
Ditto for Murali Karthik. I can bet that some left armers playing in ICL are far better left armer than Murali karthik, unfortunately MURALI in his limited opportunities could only imitate, what AGARKAR did in most of the opportunites.

whats about batting???????????????????? real loosner. this team can't perform unless the through Ganguly out of the team.
With Shoaib joining KKR, and hopefully playing on 8th May, it must be a morale booster for Bangalore team, knowing that there are 2 easy puppets in Ganguly and Shoaib, one who scores in single digits and the 2nd who gives runs in abundant.

Yeah Good News even for all Bangalore RC supporters as they can change their support after the next match to some other Performing team, without any gulty conscience.

U r right, I am from Mumbai and i have switched sides to Bangalore for this match. But we from Maharashtra and Karnataka are much better than those Bengalis at Eden Garden who supported South Africa when their laadla Gangu was dropped.
We are Indians they were South Africans, simple as Indian i can support Bangalore or Chennai... much better than traitors
Kumble laxman dravid jaffer such players are puting an effort. they don't go for false publicity or won't take credit for other players performance teams like RCs, DCs are not doing well bcuz players are not playing to their potentials but RRS are considered as underdogs are now in top bcuz they play better cricket as one unit RRs, Dcs are failed put up good show as a team. But it does not mean that dravid n laxman r not good for T20 Things are not going in their way Media and cric experts always biased and easy to criticse players like dravid , laxman kumble bcuz they are less flameboyunat and do not open mouth in front of media. Look how agressive players like harbajn Sresant bringing disgrace to ind cricket. maccallum played a jem of innings but ind media made ganguly A Knight Other Superstar not playing but make sure he is in news everyday.dravid and even Laxman are trying to play.. putting an effort rather claiming false publicity and credit for other players hardwork. But things are not going in their way it does not mean that they are unfit for such T20 format Players and team can judged at the end of tornament. chockers like shoib akthear are getting more ind media presence than any ind superstar. Chockers like jadeja, sabakarim, arunlal, nikil chopra, K Srikant has no moral right to criticize such players. What are contribution old crickters to ind cricket when compared to great laxman, dravid and kumble etc..

Yeah suman partially agreed!! No doubt they are good cricketer but one needs adaptability to called great! Those who adapt quickly to the situation perform much better.... Look at Shaun pollock, Shane Warne, McGrath , Jaysuriya....The are also so called "aged" players...but they already showed their class!

I didnt see anything that Jayasuriya did, that was different. He has a poor IPl so far.
Coming to Pollock, Warne and McGrath, if thats the case we should also compare Dhoni and Yuvraj with Hayden, Hussey, Sangakkara and Shane Watson. Our so called superstars Dhoni and yuvraj has done jack squat so far when compared to the other guys.

Look at kolkata vs Mumbai match where he took 3 wickets just giving 14 runs in 4 overs.
Delhi vs Mumbai match where he scored 34 in 16 balls and did not gave wicket to Mcgrath in the initial overs...
and what was the result of these matches?
My previous reply was not about the comparing the players. But it was about the difference between good players and great players!

Rahul and VVS are dfinitely greater than Sanath and Pollock, no doubt about it.
Sanath has been a failure when he plays overseas most of the time, in Aus, england and SA.
And just 2 instances you have of his? The 3 wickets and 34 runs?? Thats it? I think he played something like 6 games overall.
And where were you when Pollock was being tonked around by Gilchrist? he didnt look all that "great" then. :)

Good Write-up on Bangalore players and Laxman. But tell me How long Dravid and Laxman can "try to play" ? If you think they are 'trying to play', by the time they start performing, IPL will be over.
RE:RE:Judge the team / players at the end of tournament

They didnt try to play. They already HAVE played and proved.
uthappa - 6 games - 177 runs - no fifty - 19 fours - 5 sixes - strike rate 114
See any big difference between the 2 groups?????
Yes, there is no real big difference.
So Rahul and VVS are doing a good job. They deserve to be playing in the national side even now. Next time look at the stats before you comment you idiot!!!!

admit it you are a sore loser..if u know anything abt cricket that u pretend to know so much, you will be the first to admit that Bangalore etam is playing like real cartoons. They have no motivation, desire or showing any inclination to win IPL matches.

Dont include Dravid in it when you say "they". He is giving it his 100%.
