I really wonder why the other BCCI members are working for cricket in India inspite of not having played cricket in professional level (applicable for most of them)? Is it for phiilanthropic purpose or some other purpose? Probably they are all after Mr. Dalmiya, the person who has transformed cricketing economics in India. If people have thought that people won't get tempted at the helm of affairs when so much money is involved, then it sets the example of an Utopian world. I hope the current and future administrators are paving the way for an Utopian world.
Sharad Pawar is Political scoundrel and by doing this he is just giving the proof to the people at large.........shame on you.....DALMIA needs stationary for personal use.....SHARAD PAWAR be ashamed of youself.
Nobody with any understanding of the working of not just BCCI, but the whole spectrum of sports federations and associations, can approve of this kind of probes, vendetta etc.
It is common knowledge that money, not merely collected from spectators in stadia, but larger sums allocated by Government from tax and other revenues, IS SPENT LIBERALLY on travel of officials abroad, questionable or fictitious assets etc.
It is in fact for this reason that politicians and other serving, retired burecrats all have an eye on one or the other sports federation / association and do not leave such posts for decades.
It is also well known that Dalmiya was the one who reversed the trend of Doordarshan asking money from BCCI to telecast matches and instead started getting money from TV channels. The base provided by him is now being exploited to the hilt by your VP Mr Lalit Modi and others as seen in sponsorships, franchises etc.
Instead of witch hunting Dalmiya, you can become a magnanimous person by announcing a hefty award like 5 or 10 crores to him. If you can lavish such money on players and selectors, you must do it for the man who earlier gave BCCI its financial clout.
Being President of a sports body, be a sport, Mr. Pawar, drop all cases, reward Mr. Dalmiya for his vision and hardwork.
Note: I am not a relative, friend, fan or chamcha of Dalmiya. I am an ordinary citizen of this country and a cricket lover. I am sick of vendetta in politics and sports.

Under Jagmohan Dalmiya, Cricket world worshipped Indian money power. Dalmiya himself is a rich business man and does not require peanuts from BCCI.
This is really witch hunting. Dalmiya made Indian Cricket to a enviable position and those who took the reins after him, is just reaping the fruits sown by that noble man.

YOU R RIGHT . Dalmiya will never stoop to such level. Pawar and company some how want to keep Dalmiya away from BCCI.2.90cr is peanuts for a man like Dalmiya.
