BCCI squeezes its small brained guys to find out a way to ban sledging and pleads to ICC, the supremacy in Cricket Arena. Instead, BCCI could use its small brained guys in admin to JUST remove some foulmouthed guys like Harbajan Singh, Dhoni, tendullkar, kumbale, yuvraj (man who talks and walks but never bats, recently)...

This step would certainly keep a FINAL STOP to sledging and would pave way to a decent cricket in India and Outskirts. Some guys were funny in the forum, who pretend that they are the godfathers to save the asians and non-whites...

This sh.ty guys curse Bucknor (who is apparently non-white) but praise taufel (apparently white from the world's most renowned crowned).

Out of the blue, these cracky witss burst in agony against the aussies failing to note their real talent and strategies on field and consistency in performance, which every other teams should bend on their knee and learn to utmost possible way.

Dhoni needs rest. Harbhajan needs to be dropped
by Supratik on Mar 22, 2008 05:27 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni should be rested after the tremendous workload he he took on in Aus, esp in the ODIs. Karthik should be keeper for this one match instead. If Karthik fails miserably then Dhoni can come back for the 2nd match.

Harbhajan needs to be dropped without doubt. Kartik or Piyush Chawla or another young spinner should take his place. His last 2 years in Tests have been embarrassing. He averages over 50 in this period! He keeps the runs down in ODIs and that's why he's still useful in that version of the game (although he should really be picking up wickets there as well) but in Tests you need spinners to take wickets and nothing else. Harbhajan has to go.

Looking at Dhoni's super flop performance in test against OZ, he should be dropped. Let him concentrate in ODI's his unorthodox batting, can never make him a good batsman in test cricket

Excuse me SUPER flop?? Sounds like your cricket knowledge is uneducated at best, ridiculous at worst. Dhoni's keeping in the Tests was flawless, far better than Adam Gilchrist one of the greatest keepter/batsmen of all time. Dhoni's batting, yeah he didn't get a 50 but still he scored 141 at 17 avg compared gilchrist managed 150 at 21 avg. See much difference there?? It just wasn't a completely batsman dominated series as usual and thats why it was tough for both keepers to completely get going. You seem to forget keepers also have to squat up and down for 90 overs a day before going out to bat!

In case you don't know Dhoni is a keeper/batsman, not batsman/keeper and his performance in the Tests was very acceptable if not good. I thank my lucky stars you're not an Indian selector, if you were we'd probably be seeing Parthiv Patel making a comeback in Dhoni's place!

do not say a word against Gilly!
dhoni has been involved in scandal and the Great Gilly hasn't and that is wat makes a good cricketer- not just playing well but also being fair and behaving in a good manner.

Dipak I'm DEFINITELY thankful you're not a selector or else we WOULD see Parthiv Patel back in Dhoni's place!

In fact I wonder where you work, I definitely hope they don't put you in a big position there because that place is going to go bankrupt inside a month if they do!

If you read this comment chain anyone who's insulted me so far hasn't even put forward half a decent cricketing argument. They've just started attacking me personally. One guy said I'm full of "awful ideas" but didn't elaborate why exactly. Another guy called me a "no brain selector" without going further.

I'm a very fair person. If you criticize my ideas and beat me in a fair NON-PERSONAL debate about anything I'll be the first one to tell you you were right. But if you just get defensive and start yelling and screaming insults at me hoping to intimidate me not only do you lose my respect you probably lose everyone else's as well!

So, if anyone who wants to put forward a cricketing argument I'd be glad to hear it. And if you just want to start yelling and screaming insults at me, go ahead and showcase your KG-level intelligence to all the others in this forum!!

ICL & IPL
by sachin tendulkar on Mar 22, 2008 03:33 PM

ICL - Started in the motive of grooming youngsters...by banning them all from playing for their country / county ...BCCI & Other cricket boards are making ICL's goal ineffective...meaning less. automatically they have to go for older retired guys...BUT IPL Will be the successful one., bec even the sensible one like me will follow IPL only bec of our heros Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly playing for them.......Things will be under control only if Sachin, Ganguly & Dravid take bold decistion after their retirement to join ICL..Then ICL will grow in the sense....BCCI can't be the mono-poly for Indian Cricket...

The sham of fitness!!
by Shash on Mar 22, 2008 03:37 AM  | Hide replies

On the fitness issue if one recalls what the previous physio John Gloster said in his report to BCCI, then there is something utterly hanky panky here.
Gloster had clearly stated that Harbhajan needs rest at least for 2 weeks. He had also clearly mentioned that Yuvraj needs surgery for his knee injury. But both these players have been included for the first two tests against SA.
Yuvi without that surgery is considered fit to play; Dhoni and Harbhajan in the last two weeks or so have mysteriously become fit! Wow, looks like some magic is acting as guardian angel for the Indian cricket players. But however hard players like Munaf may try they will have to wait forever to be declared fit!
Are these players, especially, Yuvi really fit to play test matches against a team like SA?
One does not know how unfit players make their way in to the Indian team. Do they somehow funnel a part of their earnings to the selectors? Do some middlemen work in this racket? It would be very interesting to know how this racket is works. To be honest the whole thing stinks!
It is also quite interesting to note that the new Physio Paul Close has already picked up the ropes of how to play the cards when it comes to Team India.
Anyway, Indian cricket has of recent years been a cess pool of intrigue, self-aggrandisement, falsehood, back-stabbing, chicanery and bootlicking. It is sad to see that all this continues to thrive!

When you will be accountant and has to run a channel they your managment have to decide by the prime day which are the important subject are viewing by the mass. So they will get maximum number viewrs. You all who love to be an critic without knowing the exact reason.
