ICL is a Great thing
by abdul rehman on Mar 19, 2008 04:39 PM

I wish ICL a grand success and thru it we can see a lot of players earning a decent livelihood and also leading a decent life even if they were not selected team.
Kapil Dev is doing a great job , everybody out wants earn money and ICL is making it in a decent way , unlike other projects , unnecessary spending lakhs of rupees on unwanted useless foreign players.
This amount could have been used in a better way, increase in the pension amount for the retired ranji players , who never made it to the national , support the poor ground staff who maintain the stadium and also taking the game of cricket to all the corners of our nation by setting up cricket acadamies.
Indian cricket never required bollywood actors and also big business men to reach the present level in the international arena.
Indian cricket and also the players (domestic) just require some financial support and also technical support to excel.

Why dont you guyz speak of the Farhat Brothers who excelled in their batting and the legendary Azhar Mahmood? The Badshah's have so far done the best in this challenge. The Badshah's have created a phnomenon in this challenge. They will certainly rout any opposition because their leader is none other than the Roaring Lion Himself. Hail to Inzimam, Azhar, Farhat Bro's Imran Nazir, Shahid Nazir and the Rana of Lahore.

russel arnold, craig mcmillan...not heard them for long in the international scene..but they played marvellously..r satish..a jhunjhunwala..hardly heard of them in the domestic scene..they played like the sharmas and rainas....our country has full of cricket talent...if not any other sports talent...lets support them guys...giving cricket the real essence in our country...as to giving all players an equal chance to prove themselves.

You never heard about R.Satish? He is the best fielder available in India now. He is best than Yuvraj Singh and Mohammed Kaif.

u did not hear about jhunjhunwala. That shows how big a cricket fan you are.Jhnunjhunwala was part of numerous India 'A' sides and was considered a future India prospect.Even Ganguly tried to convince him not to join the ICL.But I guess, money was more important to him
