Patel's selection(as CEO of ICC) will bring some sanity to ICC and will make ICC multipolar (as u know Patel has business agreements with TenSports and ZeeSports).
If Bindra were to be selected, then BCCI would have ruled ICC, all the way. Anyway now its confirmed that, ICC chairman would be Pawar after few months of time.
There is a great chance of ICL be sanctioned as Offcial event under ICC's charter and will only bend the spine of BCCI, for good.

Young fast bowler Ishant Sharma was ruled out of this month's first Test against South Africa on Monday as the Indian selectors grappled with fitness issues following a long and difficult tour of Australia.
The selectors named a 14-man squad for the first two Tests of the three-match series, beginning on March 26, but vice-captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni [Images] and off-spinner Harbhajan Singh [Images] must clear a fitness test on March 21.

This is good stuff from Indian board, give the key players how fought hard against aussies some break and reprieve to recover. On Indian pitches osme new talent could be expoosed to Proteas as well, will be a good learning experience for them.

I'd LOVe to see youngsters like Pankaj Singh and VRV making debuts, should be good, it seems both are raring to go and VRV has atured form his last showing, not to forget he has some sheer raw pace and good built.
