Indians are known to treat the best like Kapil Dev as rebel, specially because he won us world cup.. like wise the same dirty fellows thrown out Dhanraj Pillai because he made Indian hockey strong!!! see how they treated the great Captain of India Like Sourav so shabbily..
These corrupt politician, businessmen lobby of BCCI are the worst guys..
Do you expect fairplay from them !!!
I am ready to believe don like dawood but not these crooks & rascals of BCCI!!!

don't bluff
by chaitanya lakkapragada on Mar 14, 2008 05:21 PM

Kiran more don't bluff anyone. You are here to make money.Just don't fool people.ok.You thought that after the WC07 Indian team's stock would dip and you planned to seize the opportunity by cashing in on the discontent among people. But Alas, God has his own ways and the Indian team has performed fantastically over the past 12 months.Your CEO Himanshu Modi was shouting on TV that India cannot win any tournament unless a league like ICL exists. So the reason behind India's triumph in England,T20 WC,Australia and at home against Pakistan is the ICL.Himanshu also made a claim that ICL will unearth a guy better than Dhoni.Where is he?Every team in your league has a foreign wicket-keeper(barring 1 or 2 teams).Stop making these claims about improving domestic cricket and concentrate on fulfilling your real purpose, make money out of an industry called "cricket".Mr.Kiran More, you are talking about Sachin Dholpure being a great talent.Stop it.When Mr.Dholpure was one of the highest run-scores in Ranji Trophy Plate division(2004-05 season)and wasn't picked for the Central Zone squad, you gave an explanation that performances in Plate League do not matter and pointed to his first-class average(29.81).So much for accusing BCCI.Stop whining about BCCI's tactics. Will rediff allow it's employees to work in Yahoo or any other company(atleast part-time).

20-20 CRICKET
by Shreyashi Sanyal on Mar 14, 2008 12:34 PM

I wish in the few months/years to come ICC and BCCI will eventually realise that ICL is equally important for development of cricket not only in India but for the whole world.Like there is a Competition between various clubs in soccer same can be started between ICL and IPL in the near future. Like ICL and IPL Australia, England, West Indies may be also asked to start such clubs in 20-20 format and will help cricket to grow.

what a pity!!!???
by ravi boppudi on Mar 14, 2008 10:33 AM  | Hide replies

A sixer is a sixer only if it is hit by Dhoni and a boundary is a boundary only if it is hit by say VVS or Dravid or Sachin. Just not being part of the main governing body (ICC) takes the sheen off greats like Inzy or Lara or Chris Cairns. What a pity!!!???

Inzy and Lara and (maybe) Cairns have retired from the ICC version anyway, haven't they?
