Muscle will no way help Ishant but it will only tighten an otherwise flexible and rhythmic body. The flexibility and rhythm of his body along with height are the secret of his success as a Fast Bowler.

If I am asked to pick up the best innings in the recently concluded ODI series in Australia, I will say that it is Dhoni's 50 without a single boundary in that and India won that match. That is a classic effort from a batsman like Dhoni who prefers fours and sixes to singles and twos in his normal style.
I think we are already seeing signs of success going into the head. if ishant has to survive for long he has to build up some muscles. even kapil has said that he needs to keep an eye on his fitness. lets see how long can he keep his speed in 140 kmph without getting some sort of injury. all the best to him.

Just after one series the dude is already injured, and he has the arrogance to say he doesn't need muscles. Yes, success gets to peoples head and ultimately causes their downfall. I guess they will all reach "God hood" if they dont fall.

IMHO Ishant just replied to a query on his muscles and it was what he thought in his opinion. I don't think it is anything to do with his 'Ghamand' as reported many places here. I think Buchanan went way too ahead trying to control him without even having a session with him as if all the muscle boys are NOT having any injury issue. More over Ishant is a Blackbelt holder in Karate and I am sure he know his physical abilities better than any one and Buchanan is just a coach for IPL20/20 games only.
Buchanan is also right in advising Ishant to build muscles to sustain in the long run and avoid injuries and losing momentum. But veg or non-veg Ishant is free to choose his way.

Brett Lee kee leh lee, bhai. He's had a tryst with injuries and come backs. He's only better than Ishant in his muscle power.
My humble advice, please dont listen to any australians. They are here to spoil the Indian Team, which is the only team that can beat Australia. See what Greg Chappell did before. Then the australian tour...........

Nobody asked him to eat meat. Just put on some muscle, doesn't matter what you eat. Is that wrong?
