Sachin is a match winner in his own right. It is not just because of his cricketing brilliance. Its because of his sheer presence, which motivates the players and also sends shock waves into the opposition. I still remember Shane Warne in Channel 9 recollecting his duels with Sachin. Nothing can unsettle this genius. He goes on and says for a player like Sachin "we need to work out many strategies to get him out". This is where Sachin becomes a match-winner. He always keeps the opposition guessing. Kapil Dev, Gavaskar, Vengsarkar, Azhar, Dravid, Laxman, Ganguly are match-winners, but Sachin is greater than them because whether he scores or not, he keeps the opposition on their toes. The very fear of the rival bowlers makes Sachin a match-winner. Tendulkar holds the record for winning the maximum `Man of the Match' awards in one-day internationals. India has won almost 80 per cent of the one-dayers in which Sachin has scored a century. Sachin is an emperor in world cricket. Tendulkar has shone as the one man gladiator for India. SOMEONE once said "an expert is someone who knows more and more about less and less until he knows everything about nothing". The same applies to those experts who have conferred upon themselves the right to come hard upon someone who I would term a national asset. Tendulkar outweighs statistics and numbers. That is reflected in his altruistic and dedicated batting which thoroughly impresses even my granny. Tendulkar is a match-winner, although in a te
the was only due to Naveed Latiff's knock. Inzamam stood there till the winning runs scored. At one stage he was some where around 15 runs in 21 balls but at that time Latiff was going in great guns. That really helped for Inzamam to settle down. The keeper had missed one easy stumping chance for Inzamam. Also it was a great effort from Thiru Kumaran. He did extraordinarily well in this match and in the entire 20-20 matches he played. His best bowling figure is 6 wickets for 20 odd runs in 4 overs. he usually tood 2 wickets ivariably in all the matches he played. A remarkable feet for a bowler in a batsman dominated form of cricket.

Very poor standard of Cricket..it seems like they are playing just for extra money. No team has scored aboe 160 plus score...
ICL has made most of the International teams weaker, so even if some team becomes number one then they have to thank ICL for it.I feel that ICL should release Shane Bond and few players so that the International team becomes stronger.I think young players can make easy money by playing in ICL without performing too, as they know that ICL need players to make their league work.Every team goes through a bad phase that does not mean that a new league should be started, if this was the case then in world cricket we would have many leagues present.

BCCI's making the international teams weaker with their monopolistic attitude. I don't understand where's MRTPC. Even the players when they joined ICL, knew clearly where they stood in international cricket. This is a choice they made. Starting a new league is certainly better than watching India-Bangladesh/ Zimbabwe matches. Now teams like Pakistan/ Sri Lanka/ England/ New Zealand too seem to be going the Zimbabwe way. But for the leagues, we wouldn't see good international cricket from now on.

At one time it looked as if Chennai were taking the match but then it was a vintage performance from Inzi. I wonder why they had to put Sameera Reddy on display, as it is she doesn't even add any glamour. Guys dont laugh at ICL, it does have some good cricket on offer.

no commercials...poor standard of cricket ....who will waste their money...
The Umpire didn't refer the run out of Bevan to the third umpire. And the replay in the stadium screen showed Bevan to be very close and could have been out.
Mr. Inzi started arguing with Umpire. He should be glad this is not under ICC, or he would have been banned for good chunk of games..lol

If you eat too much of anything, you get dysentary. I think by the time IPL completes one season most of the Indian cricket fans will suffer from "criucket dysentary". BCCI and ICL is killing the goose that gives "golden egg" every day. The last thing we want to happen is to watch the likes of Yuvi, bhajji, dhoni dancing in the first row of extras behind Shahrukh, or Preity Zinta.
