thats the remedy. impose cess very heavily on these over-hyped cricketers' ad contracts n spend this cess for the development of other sports for olympics.
BCCI does not come udner control of Indina Govt. While they have the social resposibility to boost sports in all respect of the country. I dont deny more money should be spent on sports - but in a right way too. Govt shall initiate steps to regulate good sporting and ensure money rightly goes to the needy who develop. Point is BCCI shall share its cake. Govt to take of these.
KAPIL SEEMS TO BE MOST IGNORANT SPORTSMAN. HE HAS RIGHT TO BE, NATURALLY. WHEN HE WAS NOT GIVEN EVEN MORE ROTIS WHILE HE WAS UNKNOWN PLAYER, HE WAS DENIED. HE HAD SWALLOWED HIS HUNGER INSTEAD OF ROTIS, THOSE DAYS, SILENTLY. WHY DOES HE THINK, CHIDAMBARAM HAS NOT GIVEN ANYTHING FOR SPORTS? THE WHOLE BUDGET IS MEANT TO PLAY WITH 100 CRORES OF INDIANS.
Mr. Kapil Dev, you are cribbing on lesser money allocation to Sports. What about the extra ordinary income generated by Cricket for Players and ICC? They are equally responsible for the upliftment and development of other sports in India. They have taken the larger share of interest, limelight, wealth and succes so they should own the larger responsibility too. There cash rich Corporates abiding their Social Responsibilities like Wipro, Infosys and Bharti. Why can't we have a Central Fund for Sports in which we can direct some percentage of income earned by individual players, boards and companies associated with more "earning" Sports. This money should be tax exempted under Income Tax Act.
Hats off to you Mr Kapil Dev You are a real Loin not a tie suit tiger who sits in ac commetray box and just brag do nothing concreat keep it upi Kapil u will bea hero forever in india

kapil is probably right as far as lesser known (unpopular) sports r concerned. ckt income of higher rated players shud b taxed as cess for the development of other sports. even bcci profit shud b taxed heavily.
