Rohit Sharman and Yusuf Pathan
by Sunil Kumar on Jun 28, 2008 12:20 PM

There is no doubt on the capability of Yusuf Pathan and Rohit Sharma, they have prooved themselves in IPL. We would like to see these two players at the top of the order once again against b'desh match today sothat they can get their confidence back which will be useful against playing Srilanka and Pakistan in next two crucial matches before final.

whether 300 or 400 that does not matter. Our Batsmen, bowlers both combining in fielding must be classic, we can make it everything shot in the arm

It is noticed that some people still crying about Sehwag's consistency. Can these people tell me who else has the consistency in the current team? If a batsman score at least 50 runs in 7 out of 10 innings can be called Mr. Consistent. Anybody there?????

Man, do you think making a hundred after 3 years is a consistent form, having said that.. how many times sehwag crosses 30s... he usually gets 30s and then gets out, this is not what is expected from a top order batsman... a top order batsman has to stay long in at least 40-50% of the time... after playing for so many years, he is still scoring at average around 30 runs.... which is definitely not consistency, is it??????

Lets make it 8 out of 10 innings.
At least 80% of the time is better than 70% of the time.
As an aside, how do Australians measure consistency. Are there any broad parameters for Ozzies?

Still need better player

I feel badrinath and Abishake nair could fit in to one squad better than yousuf pathan and rohit sharma. They have all the strokes in the book. Rohit is defintely a better player but he is choking and he is not able to convert singles and he is building pressure for the batsmen in another end. With Tendulkat coming in i think the team will best in the world.

The only positive thing about Rohit is that he is from Mumbai. Otherwise there are many players better than him.

Definitely Badrinath and Venugopal rao (on his IPL showing) could be given chance ahead of Rohit Sharma.

Other players like Rainder Jadeja and Abhishek Nayyar can also be tried.

You guys....

Rohit has been extremely good..and its not his IPL performance where he was stupendious in a very low team Hyd...that i count for but his performace in australia...Suresh was always good and was expected to mature like this one day...the same with rohit he is very good and is the future...he just has a lull now and will probaly learn quicker then raina.

So dont count him down yet guys its just 2 innings. He is probably trying to play to a role that Dhoni has set to and finding it difficult.

sehwag's strokeplay ..
by Bunty on Jun 27, 2008 04:14 PM  | Hide replies

sehwag has to match his stroke play with his consistency.
the pattern is becoming obvious. scores in 2 to 3 matches only to fail in knockout or final.
he must become determined now. he is the seniormost.
the hall mark of a great players is reserving best for big games.
if he fails one more time in finals, he should be sacked.

see people love him because of his fear less cricket strokes, if he will be determind then no doubt that he will be in the team for a long time but india will not get any benefit......if sehwag starts playing like laxman or kaif( more diffencively) then his name should be changed. The opposition woories increases when sehwag on song. some time the rhythm of the song is not too gud but when it is ...........EVEN GOD WILL NOT HELP THE OPPOSITION.

SO COMMON SEHWAG, PLAY AS U R, PEOPLE SHOULD LOVE AS UR........CHAKE DE

Actually Dhoni should follow the policy he did in Australia. Drop Sehwag for the finals!
Let Sehwag play until the finals and drop him for the finals. Probabaly Tendulkar too should be in the same bracket.
