What is the use of this Switch-hit, It is only good for style, Basically it is good only if played ocassionally.
According to Me the best innovative shots played recently are by DOuglas Marillier and Sachin tendulkar.
Douglas Marillier invented the Flick over Fine-Leg which he played excellently in the match against India where he single handedly won the match for Zimbabwae by smashing Indian bowlers especially Zaheer Khan.
Sachin Terndulkar invented the glide over the 3rd man which he played superbly against South Africa in Durban where he scored 138 runs along with gr8 partnership with Viru Sehwag, That was debut match of Viru Sehwag in test matches where he scored 108 runs..........................

true. i cudnt remember his name but thanx to stg, it was d marillier who was successful even against mcgrath playing that shot.

Sorry made a mistake, Sachin Tendulkar scored 155 and Viru Sehwag made 105.
