Exactly you are right. If Dhoni wins the worldcup?? Who would be his next target as no seniors in the team.

Yes you are right....he is hardly done much for the country and has the face to remove ganguly out of the team ...The dada is the fastest to reach 10000 in one days and still a very good player. His performance was much better than The much hyped and priced Dhoni ,with the bat and also with the ball. Dhoni ,you can mistaken if you think you can win the world cup without dada.(Mind you,I am not a bengali.I am a ardent cricket fan who knows his cricket very well). Most of the world cup winners had good senior players who know how to handle such high pressure. Talent is present in all those world class players but what is required in pressure handling and who knows it best than dada! Cheers
it is because of kapil dev , it takes another 1000 years to get one more kapil dev, you will get lot of shard pawar and niranjan shaw to spoil the sport
in 83 ..it was greate victory,they proved in Australia also..T-20 was fluke,nobody take as serious . .weekest pak team would have been lift that cup if that shot was success.even selectors and cricket stupid or mad ..don't know,they made indian team as bangaldesh team because of that victory,dhoni thinks he is the best,ad- giving 40 crore to him,greate sachin far behind him.he is a avarage captain and below avarage bastman.

I think 83 was fluke. If we were world champions, we wouldn't have lost 5-0 to the West Indian team which came to India tour just after the world cup. Surprisingly no one talks about that with the world cup win. Winning one match can be fluke but losing 5 matches ina row cannot be a fluke

I absolutely disagree, because I am the one who had witnessed all the matches for 1983 world cup. It was due to good team work and hard work we could win the world cup in 1983, there are peoples who do not know cricket or they have not witnesed any of the 1983 matches only they can say it is due to fluke. Also do not com[pare test cricket and world cup. I remember we won champion trophy as well as trophy at Shharjah after the world cup and that too almost with the same team members. Last final was undestood low scoring match, but as I understand, for final match pitch at Lord was purposely prepared to support fast ballers, it was not the same pitch which was used for other matches. Also please check quarter final and semi finals with Australia and England India made good score against them. Till today I can never forget six hit by Yashpal Sharma on the balling of England fast baller Bob Willis to which not only changed the situation of the game, but, bob lost his line and length and resulting finally India to win. I remember Pakistan also had won world cup, did those peoples say it is due to fluke. Please do not take credit away from our boys like Rogger Binny, Kapil dev, Madan lal, Srikant, Syed Kirmani and all others who gave their best performance by knowing their limitations. Once again I am giving full credit to our team and once again it was not at all a FLUKE.

Nobody is claiming Dhoni has better batting skills than Tendulkar. He takes the best out with whatever he has and is doing great till date. Its to early to comment that he would be a successful captain but ya definitely he has tremendous potential. On a lighter note if a palm cutter can win 20-20 world cup and give tough fight to the opponents then we need more palm cutters rather tan class batsmen.:))
