AUS and IND are the top teams in the world with IND being the favorite in any match, especially in India. India will be on mountain top and will stay ther for many many years given the glut of talent discovered during IPL.

I don't think the IPL is necessary going to produce a lot of quality Test players. It sure is going to help the 20/20 and ODI ranks but 20/20 can cover up shoddy techniques which are exposed at Test level. See Yuraj Singh for example - gun 20/20 or ODI player - hopeless at Test level.

you are correct. To become a excellent test player, one needs to have good technique and temperament which unfortunately is lacking in most of the new crop of players in IPL. They can be good in ODIs and T20 but not in tests
