Cricket is a game played by Countries who has been previously an colony of British Empire.. while they have left out .. we have not shed the slavery ..
Apart from that cricket is given so much importance that if we loose it.. we don't win anywhere.. So no wonder we will hardly get any medal in Bejing Olympics

So according to Rizwan Khan, India is not seen as a sporting nation, since football is not the No.1 sport in this country. But football is the No.1 sport in Bangladesh, which means Bangladesh is seen as a sporting nation. HAHAHAHAHAHA, what a funny guy he is ? And in the recently concluded cricket tri-series in Mirpur (Bangladesh), the Bangladesh public was paying to watch India-Pakistan match.
1996 world cup the turning point. till 80s and 90s, ind were afraid of pak. but 1996 world cup removed all the fear from our mind. even 1992 wc victory against pak was mainly due to our bowlers. ind's score of 216 was not chased by pak batters who were allout for 173 runs. actually the position has been totally changed after wc 1996.
the turning point was in the brave innings in 1996 world cup, from ajay jadeja who hit towering sixes against the most dreadful bowler waqar, removing all the fear against pak bowlers. then ind started scoring big runs like crossing 300 run barrier against pak in the very next tourney in sharjah where siddhu/sachin played havoc with pak bowling, sidhu scoring century(!). now india is in the driver's seat and pak is afraid of india but thanks to the turning point innings from ajay jadeja.

no doubt football is a popular game. i was once a football fan. not so after watching t20. latin america football is fast. however many euro teams are slow, especially italy. most of the times the ball will be in the mid field.
compared to that t20 is more entertaining.

If Money was the not motivation the Thomas elva Edison would have stopped Invention... Do you the extent he went to forge patent rights so that he could make money out of the inventions... Do you know that bill gates cheated someone to get the inttial code for windows which he licensed to IBM... and Steve jobs he copied the whole Mac design from Xerox for his First Mac... Today we have them only because Money was the Motivation...Its not a typical Indian Mentality... Do vent your numbness here you dumb nut

logoboy,
those are very good examples you gave, yes Bill Gates copied from mac, thomas Alva Edison was motivated to earn money, but look at their achievements. Both of them changed the world. Now look at India, Indian movies copy from Hollywood but do they win any oscars ? do anybody apart from Indians and persons of Indian origin watch those silly movies full of tamasha. That is the diffrence between western copying and Indian copying.

Conditional morality will not help you in the long run my dear Numb Nut... A murder is a murder is a murder, . . a cheating is a cheating is a cheating...
In fact if the cheating is fetching million times more than ordinary cheating, that cheating is that many times worse than the ordinary cheating...

Ask your Dad.. may be he might've done that to raise you and to provide you good living and Education. It is not a Typical Indian mentality, everybody in this world work to earn livelyhood. Sombody gets successful and rake in the moolah and somebody miss out in that.
Stop cribing about the mentalities of people. First check with your dad how many jobs did he change.

why are you getting upset dear boy, it is a well known fact Indians run after money and whoever has money we speak in favour of that system. We are the most corrupt society. Recently there was a news item where it was reported that even dead people were being taxed in India, so money-hungry is our IT dept lol

U numb boy....I think U r NUTS.... How can u say that its a WELL KNOWN FACT that Indian run after money???? is there any strong evidence to prove ur hypothesis..... man dont speak rubbish here....
If rajastan blast would have happened during the australian team touring, warne would have been first person to leave INDIA. But in IPL it is money having the power.
Footbal is the only true sport, 90% of the planet have it as its favourite sport.
Cricket is no1 in only 3 countries.
INDIA, PAKISTAN, SRI-LANKA.
True global sport is football which is the no1 sport in over 200 countries. India needs to forget cricket and start to promote football to be seen on the sporting map.

Cricket, have u heard of a sport called sepak takraw? yes, it is played in India thats the status cricket enjoys in most of the countries that u mentioned. In places where people know of cricket (if at all) it is one of the least popular sports Even amongst the test playing nations, only the SE asian countries take it as their main sport. leave alone england or SA, even in Australia, football is by far the most popular sport.
Cricket being a favourite Indian sport (and perhaps the only one where India performs as a team) doesnt make it a hugely popular global sport as u are trying to portray
As far as T20 is concerned, very few people outside the Indian subcontinent actually watch it - my friend in Australia and SA testify that IPL had little or no impact on television and sports pages of newspapers.
It may have been a hugehit in India, but to compare it with football is a travesty, nothing less
