It happened because BJP ruled the center for 5 years and the influence was so powerfull that even the Cricket team become more vigilant and started delivering.
The results of Cricket team of today is because the 'good deeds' done by the then BJP government. right rediff folks?
Now the congress is in the centre the Cricket team will become less vigilant and start underperforming in days to come.

Everyone batted ultra-slow that day, who do you term as traitor??? It was just a bad day in office for the Indian team, unfortunately had to happen on a crutial WC match. Give gaalis to player if they dont do well but please dont call them as traitors!
Terrific comment by Nadeem.... "We were smiling and joking as if we were some junior team which was happy just to be given the privilege of playing against a top team. This has to stop." It was just like that, Pak cricketers were really overawed by playing against India and really felt privileged it seems.:)
India must thank the Idiots called Greg chappel & Rahul Dravid for resigning from the post of coach & captain after the debacle of India's in 2006 world cup. Since then Team India is going upward and can challange even the Aussies.

dravid did not greg did--they were sabotaged in their attempts to get younger players in by the duo of gangs and tendu--why do u think these two were dropped for BD tour immly after WC?

If GC was the coach for this same team, they would not have won because he would surely have tinkered with the batting orders unnecessarily. His dictatorial methods may have worked for a short time but in long term no one would put up with this. Indian team had performed much better even before GC was the coach. Youngsters were selected and persisted much before he became the coach, there was nothing new he was telling except that he wanted to change the team overnight and have full control and with the meek Dravid being the captain it was much easier for him. GC was kicked out even from an Australian first class team for his attitude. He was a great batsman no doubt but a failure as a coach. So dont give him undue credit.

Include Rajni! He can smash 100 sixes in a single delivery! "Oru Sixer adichaa, Nooru Sixer adhicha mathiri"

I think NANA PATEKAR will be a better choice as coach, his training and management skill was great in PRAHAAR.

Wonderful. Excellent compostion of Team Bollywood for Laggan. This is what excellent work you did. Conposition and selection of such a team is really meaningful. Thank you a lot for taking pain in selection procedure. May we expect a bit more.

Good humor! But one correction, Ekta Kapoor would only sponsor if it becomes Kkriket then Cricket. Also appoint Nanha sa, chhota sa, pyara sa bachcha Shakti Kapoor as Fixing Manager. AAAAO
Even though we won comprehensively, we still have middle order weakness. after getting 155 in 21.1 over, 331 in 50 overs is pathetic. we should have got more than 350. middle order is really brittle. rohit sharma is yet to prove in ODIs. he is really suspect against leg spinners ( piyush , warne , now afridi) have all taken his wickets.he is not sure of doosra. yousuf is very raw and lacks temperment.

sorry i don't agree.sharma is statistically & technically ahead of the 2.one weakness of uthappa is he too many times plays cross bat shots.if u remember he was out in this fashion too many times.

what rubbish, after his performance in IPL which cost mumbai indians, he doesn't deserve to be selected in indian team. Badrinath is better choice then Uttappa-idli dhosa.

I fully agree with Anand.... Utthappa is useless... he is going Kambli way.. Only style no substance.. Raina is a proven performer.. excellent fielder and Badrinath is a very talented batsmen n can change game according to circumstances.

Sorry uys i dont agree with u al.......Utthappa is very good player.infact Raina commitmnet is doubtful..playing good in IPl doent mean he is a good player.....he cant win match alone...but uttapaa can..

by Rekha on Jun 12, 2008 03:53 PM
U know Raina is a match winner.. Did u remember the match in faridabad vs England..? Peterson and all whole england team praise Raina in that match.. If he get chance he can prove..

Uthappa is useless and only a one dimensional player. He does not have variety in his strokes and is totally unreliable. Just walking down and hitting is not the answer to everything. Rohit Sharma is a star in the making, is technically correct, plays all the shots and can attack and defend.
