Even after Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Asif"s urine sample tested negative for any drug yesterday, PCB authorities, who are trying their every bit to defend the bowler, are apprehensive that he has only 50 per cent chances of escaping punishment, which included jail term.
Asif recorded his statement today. No charges have yet been laid against him.
Sources close to the case confirmed that the substance found in his wallet was a banned, recreational drug, though the urine tests conducted on Asif have come back negative.
it may b blessing in disguise for pak ckt as asif has been removed from the squad to bangla tri series. last year, shoaib was thrown out of the team from t20 world cup team and newcomer sohail tanvir replaced that arrogant shoaib. and what a player pak has got in tanvir. the same way, a newcomer in place of drug addict asif may shine for pak n ppl vl forget abt asif.

true. players like asif need to b shown the door. asif has been guilty of drug addiction last year prior to wc. then during t20 wc, he n afridi had a spat with shoaib akhtar. asif again caught with contraband item. let the other newcomer come n take his place.
