Dhoni was just trying to be a GOOD boy...as always....with the kind of fame he has right now, he cannot afford to say bad things about others, he cannot afford to comment on any particular player...he is simply trying to show off the world dat even after defeat IM A VERY GOOD BOY AND A MARVELLOUS LEADER WHO CAN ACCEPT DEFEAT...If u guys have seen Final match properly...then once Dhoni showed his true color...it was when Goni's (not sure who the bowler was)ball hit Yusuf's helmet and was caught by Parthiv Patel...and Umpire gave him NOT OUT.....u shud have seen the reaction of Dhoni...he blasted on Umpire like never before...he was actaully on the verge of hitting him....dat was the time when he showed his true color...and dats wat he is...rest all wat killing smiles dat he wears and other stuff are just show off's....he is just trying to prove dat he is a good boy..no matter wat d fact remains. You can always make it out from his fake actions..

Warne is intelligent and so is the Chennai team with Dhoni as the head. It was a final befitting of the players participated. RR deserved winners and so is Chennai Runners. After Dravid probably the right captain Team India is having is DHONI. He has done his bit and will do more for the country.

Hi Dhoni,
i appreciate your captaincy, adn the way you responded for the defeat you had in the finals.that is called the leadership.you did not leave the ground immediately, and called everuyone and decided to put the defeat responsibility on the TEAM's head not individually.
because i saw everyone including Yuvraj,Ganguly,Dravid,Laxman,Sehwag. whenever they lost there face were like monkeys...and they were criticising other players. But you didnot do this.
all the best for your future.
not this year,Next year come with a better Confidence you will take home the IPL cup.
keep the same mentality, leadersip thru out your Cricket carrier.....

what you say guys?................

my reply removed because of abuse, the word abuse like monkeys?!!that is not a vulgar word,i havn't used anything..i cannot use because of my culture like that, but i criticized dhoni.dhnoi smiled without any facial expresion 3 times agaist rajastahn(lost 3 matches in a raw),but ganguly cannot do it,because he eager to win the matches,he shows his emotion ,i believe
any captain in this world will have emotion after loss but dhoni dosn't have , means he looking some thing else.after lossing bangladesh he can smile or laugh but we cannot do it.wait and see..

Dhoni is quite smart to shift his failure on to team's shoulder. He pretended to be a good leader by having a post defeat huddle and guys like you were highly impressed by his so called leadership ability.
He is just one lucky guy to be in captain's seat. He is abig time gambler and quite lucky also to succeed in it during past few occasions. He tried to do same gambling in IPL, but he falled on face. Infact CSK is lucky to be in finals, had hussey and hayden not scored some scintillating wins for CSK, then CSK would have not even qualified for semis.
Throughout his tenure as a captain for team India and CSK, what is his personal contribution towards winning matches!!!

Well said, very true, Dhoni has shown his temperament and sportmanship by accepting it has a team failure than any one individual at the end of the day it is after all a team sport. Dhoni was the second best captain behind Warne and arguably one of the very best in international cricket right now... I hope he keeps you this good work and not carried away with success like yuvraj and sehway

Final over from Balaji
by Biz dev on Jun 02, 2008 05:43 PM  | Hide replies

All would have noticed Shane Warne starting his run-up way from behind the umpire parallel to Balaji's last run to the crease to bowl. What would have happened if Balaji had not bowled at all after swinging his arm. We would have found Shane Warne running and reaching the other crease in few secs. It would have been a real comedy at the finish of the IPL.
