In last 2 years Sehwag takes 5.6 inning for a fifty/hundred(from cricinfo).
He is so inconsistent. We should given a chance to R.Sharma/P.Patel for open the inning.

Mendis took only Dravid(out of form) and Laxman wickets, others were talendars.
Most damage is done by Murali.
Mendis was unable to beat Sachin in first test. Sachin played him very well.

Certainly yes. But only if Tendulkar decides to act in movies. Also he needs to get some work in his movie for other (so called) big guys of our team. :)

India can win 1 out of 2 matches if bowlers perform well.

Do you think we lost the first test match because of bowlers???

Come on... be a bit realistic.

It's not becoz of our bowlers, our fielders have disappointed the bowlers, where many mistakes were made by them. And even our batsmen cannot handle the Murali factor, afterall he is great bowler but only in sub-continent (Srilanka), and the remaining part has been done by the Technology itself.

It cud hv bn a draw if our Our Batsman wud hv played well, But to win a test match V shud hv bowlers who can take 20 wkts.
Do u feel V hv bowlers who can take 20 wkts.?

by Ravindra Sarvaiya on Jul 29, 2008 02:52 PM

This was since last one year... right?

If u look at the same numbers after one more year, the numbers would like something like this:

In ODI
1.S.Raina - 95.25 avg.
2.Gambhir - 54.21
3.Dhoni - 70.66
4.Sehwag - 63.00
5.Yuvraj - 48.93
6.Sachin - 7.41

In test
1.Dhoni - 78.00
2.Gambhir - 68.00
3.Sehwag - 55.00
4.Laxman - 33.00
5.Dravid - 16.50
6.Ganguly - 12.00
7.Sachin - 4.00

I used to be a big fan of Sachin Tendulkar.

But since last few years, I have been very critical of his batting.

And with the start of Twenty-20 cricket, I am absolutely sure that Tendulkar has no cricket left in him.

First we all saw his bad performance in One dayers.

Then he refused to play Twenty-20 saying that he wants to give a chance to youngsters. But when it came to money@IPL, he was more than happy to play. And what happend in IPL is a history now. We've all witnessed his failure.

Now, we are in Sri Lanka and we all saw what happened in the first test. I was hoping that a skilled batsman like Tendular should be comfortable in Test matches (atleast).

But we all saw what happened...!!! Forget about other batsmen. Let's talk only about the 4 so called world class batsman that we have in our team.

First of all, IPL exposed their false claims. They got away with it by giving a lot of stupid excuses.

But in Test matches, none of their excuses seems to be justified. Hence they have never given any excuse... :)

Stats shows in winning matches Sachin, Laxman performance is so good. If they fail India loose the match.
No need for Ganguly now.

See.. that's the problem. These big guys are in the team just because of statictics. But where is the skill to maintain those statistics... That's why I said that let's wait for one more year before we talk of statistics...

I am not taking their career stats, these are since last 1 year. Thats why I am saying Sachin and Laxman still play 1-2 year more.
No need for dada, Dravid and Kumble now.
