Modi needs medical advice on his congenitally morbid nervous system !!
by Vinayak Gadekar on Jul 29, 2008 05:51 PM

What is a Champions League without the other cricketing nations ? It is amazing that the 8 major cricketing nations can't stand united even on one small issue. ICC remains a 'bobbitised' entity.

This will end like the numerous 3 or 4-nation CHAMPIONS trophies which were played in Sharjah in the late 80s, early 90s.

Modi paagal ho gayaa hai....

Arrogant Lalit Modi

BCCI is behaving like arrogant dictators. By organizing their own tournaments in T20 format, they are trying to control world cricket. Very soon there will be no ICC, just BCCI and that will be a sad day for cricket. BCCI thinks that because they are getting large TV revenue which makes them the richest body in the world, hence they can do whatever they like. Everyone knows how unprofessionally they manage their affairs.

He should be arrogant....

In the harbajan singh enquiry case the ECB condemned us...

So it should be like this..

Dont forget they ruled us and treated us as a slave for 200 years...

So this is not a bad news to hear...

This is a sweet news..

Arrogant BCCI is only worried about money and power
by Effortless on Jul 29, 2008 08:20 AM

That BCCI does not care about improving cricket standards in the country is proven once again by the arrogance shown by it towards ICL players. BCCI is only interested in staging more of the tamasha T20 games as it is the big money spinner and they care least about test cricket. The results in SL are no flash in the pan but due to sustained lack of interest in test cricket. There was no preparation nor any motivation to succeed in test cricket. Look at the record in last 10 years and you hardly find 5 test series played by India. Most of the time they play 3 tests and either 5 or 7 one dayers or a triangular cricket. Having earned so much money now due to TV rights, BCCI bosses now think they can do anything. By overdoing the T20, BCCI is killing the goose that lays the golden eggs. The players for their part are no better when it comes to performing in test cricket. When they can earn 4-5 times money within 40 days of T20 cricket then why would they want to sweat out for 5 days in test cricket. No one can save Indian cricket.

Indians contribute 80% of cricket revenue ..
by RajneeshChandraMohan Jain on Jul 28, 2008 03:05 PM

But India is sharing more than 50% of the revenue with Australia, England and South Africa.

Stupid BCCI is powerless against ECB and ACB. Better BCCI realize their bargaining power.

Why is he dictating the future of anyone not associated with IPL?
by pradeep agarwal on Jul 28, 2008 02:36 PM

The one time success has gone to the head of this shrewe businessman who wishes to rule the cricketing world. He has every right to be successful but the same is the case for those who are associated with ICL? The case in court most probably go against BCI for being restrictive in their policy toward players of opposite camp.

Arrogance of Lalit Modi
by ekambaram chandrasekaran on Jul 28, 2008 01:37 PM

Mr Lalit Modi is more interested to retain their hagemony on the Moolah from cricket and playing his own game This is not 'cricket'
He is refusing the players from England, the real home of the game, just because they are playing with participants in ICL is ridiculous.I wish he is shown his place and the arrogance is wiped off his face.

Try to Improve Standards of Players
by vadivel suresh kumar on Jul 28, 2008 01:13 PM

Mr.Modi have to keep one thing in mind that the player's standards have to be improved he have to concentarte on the same rather than hosting tournaments and earning money.
Examples are recent test loss to SL,
Final losses in ASIA cup and tri series in BAN.

increase number of tournaments only
by shakti kapooor on Jul 28, 2008 01:00 PM

Instead of wasting your time to increase the number of tournaments only, try to upgrade conditions of the ground & infrastructure.
BCCI has money-minded people only, noebody has time to think about poor show of indian cricket in overseas. dump out all the senior players & inject fresh blood into the team. If we are losing the games inspite of senior players in the team, we can afford the same with young blood. let them play...they will loose some games but alteast they will get the experience.
