Jayawardene dropped by Karthik..........
by Anurag Rathore on Jul 24, 2008 01:30 PM  | Hide replies

46.2 Kumble to DPMD Jayawardene, no run, dropped by Karthik. Kumble is angry. It turned from short of length and Mahela went for the cut and got a bottom edge and Karthik got up too early and couldn't hold on to the chance. Dravid at the slip lets out a cry of agony, Kumble turns back quickly and looks pretty disappointed. Not much deviation; he should have held it.

It's our D.Karthik who want to replace Dhoni.
HA-ha-ha......

DK isn't fit to tie PP's shoe laces...

the guy needs to go to reserves or ICL and improve his keeping...

Dropping mahela is criminal and he needs to be warned of his head being on the chopping block.. the guy generally scores 40-50 runs in such situation or when the pitch is flat or bowlers uninterested...

this is BAD... 2nd drop

78.2 Kumble to DPMD Jayawardene, no run, dropped by Karthik beaten comprehensively by a delivery that turned away. It landed on the middle stump line and turned away. Kumble was very disappointed. Did he get an edge on it? I am not sure. Karthik had clanged it anyway. Kumble did look very miffed. the snickometer showed an edge on that previous Mahela incident. So Karthik has missed another catch

WTF is this guy doing..

is there any rule to sub this guy midway through this inns itself???

PP needs to play next test and 3rd test can be for whoever keeps better... they will be India's No:2 keeper then..

can't wait for the Maharaj to come back...

Only Kumble can pick Karthic and Harbhajan like players in X1.
Sorry Mr. Kumble please hand over captaincy to Dhoni and concentrate on your bowling.

Fine Mr.Thomas,

I differ from your view. Dropping catches is not unusual in international matches, even great wicket keepers or even good fielders have dropped catches. I can name a lot.

Isn't fit to tie PP's shoe laces? hmm...If you remember Partiv Patel was most criticized for his Wicket Keeping and dropped so many catches during the India Vs Australia series. He was finally dropped and asked to improve his keeping.

If you dont like Karthik, it's fine but its unnecessary to critize a sportsperson so low.
Yes, he dropped the catch but he is one of the best athletic fielder/wicket keeper we have in India.

Note: One of the best not the best.

Well one who drops 2 catches in one inns is not one of the best...

one of the worst if not the WORST.. A established keeper can drop occasionally cause he has a track record to fall back on... not one who is starting out fresh... he will be judged by his performance..

DK should be dropped for 2nd test...
