Symmonds should be banned
by Honest on Feb 01, 2008 08:07 AM

During the India tour last time, Harbajan and Symmonds had engaged in some rough talking. ICC then gave ultimatum to both the players and advised both Bhaji and Symmonds not to talk each other. Summonds had been nurturing hatred in his mind to get a chance with Bhaji in Australia. When Ponting misunderstood Bhaji's style of appreciating him for good bowling, Symmonds would not have been interfered. Thus Symmomnds started a verbal duel with Bhaji thereby breaching the code of conduct as dictated to him by the ICC. Now, it has been found that Bhaji broken the rule because he used bad words against Symmonds. For this, Bhaji was imposed a fine. For breaking the advice of the ICC (NOT TO TALK TO BHAJI), why Symmonds is not getting any punishment? This is discrimination. ICC should impose some punishment to Symmonds as well to prove its impartiality.

is harbajans punishment fair???
by xyz brain on Feb 01, 2008 07:55 AM

Symonds agrees tat he is the one to instigate and abuse Harbajan initially and wen harbajan gets back they are complaining. Indeed symonds is the one who broke the peace pact, he belives cricket field is no place to b friendly wid oppositoin, he belives cricket field is no place to be honest stands his crease even after ending the ball, pressurises the umpires and after all this symonds is made to be a saint and harbajan a villian. if harbajan is slapped wid 50% match fee then symonds should b slapped wid 100% match fee. y is he let off???? Indians should ban all the products endorsed by these crooked ausies.

Australians-Aggressive but the BEST
by Praveen Raja on Feb 01, 2008 07:28 AM

Come on Guys...Iam also a a very strong supporter of Indian Cricket.
Accept the tuth.Australians definitely play better cricket.
They are indeed the best team in the world.
See Gilchrist,he is still the best wicket keeper in the world. But his performance in keeping was pretty normal in this series,he took a decision that it is the right time to retire and pave way for younger players..
If you see in our team, the fitness of Saurav,Dravid and Laxman are far below par than the normal fielding standards, but still they continue to be in the team because of their batting prowess.Accepted these people are some of the great batsmen India have ever produced, but dont you think this is the time for them to quit with dignity and pave way for some promising youngsters?
Indians definitely played tougher cricket this series and matched Australia inch-inch,but does that take the credit away from Australia who have 16 consecutive wins twice in the last 10 years?
Can India atleast be able to win 3 tests in a row against Srilanka or westindies or England or SA.
The bitter truth is Australians are still the best and Indians have a long way to go in matching them.

I know we are patriotic, but lets hope the Cricket system changes and tougher players come out in the future for Indian Cricket.

Yes, Perth and Adelaide tests proved that their performance would go down without cheating and arrogant behaviour on the field.

Ponting--Ausralians
by Srinivasan Iyer on Feb 01, 2008 06:54 AM

I am sorry the Australians have become very unpopular in India. Their boorish behavior and dishonesty on the field to win a match AT ANY COST cannot be forgotten. The JUdge has called Clarke an 'unreliable witness'. He and Ponting should be banned for 5 tests by the same match referee who banned Rashid Latif for claiming a false catch. They got away scot free. And so did Symonds though he used abusive language first against Harbhajan when Bhajji patted Lee for a good ball!! If Ponting and Symonds were gentlemen they should have withdrawn the matter when Kumble offered them in good faith to sort it out after the match and withdrawn the complaint then. Kumble could have persisted in his complaint against Hogg and could have got him banned for a few games but he showed a better understanding of the spirit of the game.
Indian crowds will never forgive Ponting and his men for their behavior and it will be best if they did not visit India for some time.

Why not, Symonds
by Sebastian on Feb 01, 2008 06:52 AM

It is crystal clear that all were started by "Mr.clean Symonds, and why he is not punished, and left free, and all are bullying on India and Harbi, this shit Pointing claim that everybody knows that Harb has made a mistake as if his players had done nothing, Now we know what is the standerd of the Ausises team, and Pointing is mere imature coward, learn from the great people and learn to beahve in mautre way.

India's Mistake
by Arunachalam Solayappan on Feb 01, 2008 06:34 AM  | Hide replies

The whole problem in Sydney is because of lack of understanding by India. We have not understood the rules properly in that match. Please read the cricket rule book section 13.4.6, it says that in the fourth innings, one pitch catch is allowed if the match is played in Sydney, Australia. The sporty Aussies were with in the rules and they played the game hard and fair. What is wrong in it.

Mr. Arun, what are you trying to prove here, that India lacked the understanding, we may not understand the rules properly, but the players are supposed to know it. Here it was clear the all were croocked plans of Ausises, as they did always, but they were caught, and got the treatment, we are no more submissive to any white, bas.... who show that they are godfathers everybody. Mr. Pointing, you will be hated always and for ever, expect no mercy,

Mr. Sebastian, as Mr. Ayan Roy said in his reply, i am just giving a Sarcasist comment. No rule book says that the one pitch catch is allowed. Just kidding. Cool down. I am with your side only.

Ponting should check with Waugh

Ponting should check with Aussie greats like Steve Waugh, Border, Lillee etc...these guys were tough but not so petty minded brats like Ponting & Symonds.

I do not know about Border and Lillee but Steve Waugh is also in the leauge of Ponting. Just because he had retired we cannot make him as a saint. You won't believe, one he had dived for a catch and dropped it then he took the rolling ball from the ground and appealed for the catch. This had happened 20 years back. I saw this in a video footage. When it comes to cricket all aussies are same only.
