When will BCCI fix the domestic cricket format? 1st innings lead is all a team requires? Thats not how cricket is played. No wonder Team India loses test matches based on 2nd innings collapses. We dont know how to save a test match in 2nd innings because we dont give importance to 2nd innings so players play recklessly. Its about time BCCI fix the format such that WINs are promoted over 1st Innings leads. If a captain knew that he can win a game by declaring before taking a 1st innings lead, and then try to bowl out the opposition and win on their own 2nd innnings, it would provide some excitement and improve the quality of 2nd innings since both teams will be extra careful in their 2nd innings as well.
