All the above observance is applicable to Aussies as well. They pressurise the Empires to break down point. Need not say how they behave with opponent players. Have they been pulled up any time? Simply becuse they know how to do it. Indian's and other teams show their natural reaction, but Aussie show how and how much to do. They escape any spotlight.

rubbish article abt history.
by . on Jan 30, 2008 04:02 AM

it counts how many times, bhajji was penalised, without highlighting whether the penalties were justified or not.
if slater abuses dravid, during a disputed catch in 2001 series, but dravid is penalised.
if symonds instigates bhajji n he retaliates, only bhajji is penalised without anything happening to the conspirator symonds.
if the biased icc n its umps or referees r going to behave like this, then u will find only asians as the guilty as if the ausi r clean players.

Absolutely Crappy article
by on on Jan 30, 2008 02:27 AM  | Hide replies

The article is based on the fines for each player. Only the players from countries, escept Australia, England and Newzeland, get charged and get fined. Why Symond didn't get fined for starting the raw with Bhajji. Why Symond didn't get charged for "attempting to intimidate the umpire' on the last day of the Adelaide test?

The author should have done some work and see how many charges are laid against England and Aussie players over years. Not too many. Especially these aussie monkies are the worst in the world cricket and they still go un charged. When they're not charged for their uncanny rude pathetic behavior, obviously there will not be any fine for them. They are the Untochables...

Agreeing with the author of the article...

I wholeheartedly agree with you. Of course Harbhajan is no saint. And it seems to be abundantly clear (at least to me) that BCCI's arm twisting tactics got him the reprieve. Whatever moral authority we had as Indians seems to have been lost.
What especially worries me is the reaction of the Indian crowd (the public) when Australia visits India again. If the reactions of the 'netizens' on this page reflect the mood of the stadium going community, we have a a huge problem in hand. Hopefully, we'll mature enough by then...

Worth remembering

Racist or not, it is worth a moment to consider the fact that Bhajji is indeed no saint. Perhaps it helps towards making the team more aggressive and put on a no-nonsense kind of attitude, but abusing someone's mother or family isnt worth defending and surely should not find room in sport. The comments above are the typical jingoistic and short-sighted remarks that has become so common among our cricket fans nowadays.

when you abuse umpire then it is trouble. you can goad the batsmen and it is fair. wrt to umpires the captains have a say when they file a match report.

Match report is not worth the paper it is written on. No one reads it and no action has ever been taken on umpires or referees.

As Dicky Bird recently said, in the 80s and before, bad umpiring was punished by not letting that umpire officiate in the next match/es and he was given a reprimand.

Now we have long contracts to umpires and regardless of what the umpires do, they move on to the next match.

by chetan kolambe on Jan 29, 2008 07:39 PM

Dear Writter,

I think you are not regular watcher of the cricket matches or you looks to make your mind with wrong stats.

there are so many similar incidents that should be finned or banned the players of mainly from aust, south africa. But we do not know why they were not fined.

I will not waste my & your time to give the list, but I believe if you are really watching the cricket plesae mindly do the same exercise as like as you have done of Harbhajan.
