sehwag is certainly a good option in test and he always has been. It surprised me why he was dropped from the test team in the first place as he still averaged 50 while out of the team. But his one day batting is not that assured as his test batting. He certainly doesnt have the fitness of a one day player. He is certainly a captaincy material as he was vice captain to ganguly and dravid. We will have to see how consistently he can perform in shorter versions before tossing up between him and Dhoni. In my opinion both of them reflect the aggressive and assured attitude of modern indian youngsters and one is good in tests and other in shorter version. Yuv has had an ordinary series in aus though he has had attitude problem in the past . Probably Yuvi is not a good leadership material. He doesnt have the humbleness and forthrightness and dignity of a leader. Picks up one too many fights too often.

I approve the above post, and 2 wins a loss and a draw against an awful team in an off series for Australia sounds about right.

1. Who will be India's best batsman?
2. Who will be India's best bowler?
3. How will Dhoni perform?
4. How important will fielding be in this series?
5. Who will win the series? (no answer required)

1, Sachin
2, Ishanth
3, No double figures
4, Important, but we cant win the game by only athletic fielding, we should have balanced allround perofrmance.
5, Srilanka and aus will reach the final

No doubt india will reach the final. see the india record against srilanka in neutral venue. india has better record. srilanka also has couple young players.

We should not use Ishant much. we need to use all bowlers alternatively. We should not spoil his carrer like L.Sivaramakrishnan. For Dhoni, if he is not perform in the one day series, i think it should be end of him. We cannot pin point the best batsman. I think all youngstar and Sachin and Shewag one or other match will perfom well. Harbhajan should bowl properly. Otherwise this would also fullstop for him. In the meantime we need to find out good spinner once kumble retires in a couple of years. considering the temperament of Harbhajan he may not take over for leading the spin attack in the future.

abey o Tennessee Williams ki aulaaaad, the article obviously has reference to his form as in cricketing form. Why would 'other things' have any relevance here?

Wat India Needs...
by noshir irani on Jan 29, 2008 03:05 AM  | Hide replies

Team India just need 1 consistent opener 2 support Sehwag in da near future (may b some1 like Hayden) & rest everything will fall in place..by everything i mean da rest of da batting line up coz in cricket da opening slot is of da biggest priority (haynes-greenidge;tend-gang;hayden-langer;kirsten-hudson;smith-gibbs;jayasurya-kalu;anwar-sohail;astle-fleming) r some of da few openers who have done wonderz 4 da team..so my point over here is dat da BCCI should really concentrate hard 2 find a suitable player 2 support Sehwag..rest of da batting looks in pretty gud touch..if Team India can work out da opening formula dat will do a world of gud in da near future..

Cheerzz..!!

Ha ha Johnny Bravo what's up with you? Might as well type in "Russians", while u're at it. Especially love the Prokofiev "Suite" that appears as a recurring theme throughout the song.

sting
by Johnny Bravo on Jan 29, 2008 01:49 AM  | Hide replies

sting - fields of gold

Youll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
Youll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we walk in the fields of gold

So she took her love
For to gaze awhile
Upon the fields of barley
In his arms she fell as her hair came down
Among the fields of gold

Will you stay with me, will you be my love
Among the fields of barley
Well forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we lie in the fields of gold

See the west wind move like a lover so
Upon the fields of barley
Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth
Among the fields of gold
I never made promises lightly
And there have been some that Ive broken
But I swear in the days still left
Well walk in the fields of gold
Well walk in the fields of gold

Many years have passed since those summer days
Among the fields of barley
See the children run as the sun goes down
Among the fields of gold
Youll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in the fields of gold
When we walked in the fields of gold
When we walked in the fields of gold
