Brad Haddin
by Bird on Jan 28, 2008 03:42 PM

The Happiest Australian Cricketer today would be Brad Haddin. I remember how Gilchrist ended the career of Ian Healy. Now, its time for Gilly to move on Brad Haddin to take over.

If this series were not marred by controversies than few crores of indians would have joined to bid fare well to Gilly. but no chance now.But iwould say forgive him and wish him good luck.

They would need repeat like sydney. Not easy to win Indians with ease you wil need all those extra cricketing factors to help. But Aussies are you proud of Sydney win. This match should haunt you like under arm episode.

High regards for aussie

The way aussie show their hunger to win is just incredible. Even though they have won the series, they want another win to give tributes to Gilly.
Gilly is one of the greatest cricketer of modern era. Aussies won't suffer much coz of his absence as they have enough bench strength. But personally I would like Gilly to play till 100 test. Hats off to this master cricketer.

I dont think aussies have enough bench strength to replace all those players who retired. The evidence was for all to see how Phil Jacques struggled in Perth when Mathew Hayden didnt play. Brad Haddin may be on the bench, but he is not as talented as Gilly. Surely aussies is gonna have to face a downward curve once mathew hayden retires. He is the difference between australia and other teams.

Aussies are suffering now with the absence of Macgrath and Warne and will suffer more in future when Gilly retires. Their bowling barring Lee looks ordinary and this goes to prove that they are also struggling when bowling on the not so bowler friendly pitches. As a result Lee is being over bowled( Lee bowled 27 overs and others around 17 or 18 and Hogg only 8 overs) and this is the reason for slow over rate by the Aussies(12 per hour). God only knows how many times will Ponting and his men be fined for slow over rate? A day may come when Ponting will be dropped as captain for this.

Almost half og the catches that gilly has caught are flase.
He picked up ball from the ground and appealed to the umpire for the catch. Ans almost 50% of time umpire gave the batsman out.
I think australian should go to space and bring moon for gilly. It will be much easier than to win against India.

Dhoni's total, avg and strike rate all are less than the 37 year old Kumble. But we want young team for our ODI.

Aussies will lose their power soon

After Gilli, Matthew Hayden is next to retire soon. This team is going to be like West Indies in 90s.
