Shame on selectors blaming, dhoni not interested sourav, bcci will accept if he says against sachin. Selectors must use their heads. I have great respect in Mr. Vengsarkar abilities. i wonder why they dropped man in form like ganguly and dravid. if you give fielding is priority then drop dhoni keep karthick in who is far far better than dhoni. dhoni will miss the experience in middle.
don't play for future, persist with present. it was happened in 2005, when our great flop coach guru fails to deliver saying same mantra.
highest Rangy Trophy run getter kaif not included in tri series... selection not based on performance, that proves,,, uthappa, rohit sharma, dinesh.... Bcci politics

Your heart only beat for Tamils, that is why you have forgotten the performance of Kartik in Pakistan series and crying for Kartik, if Ganguly would have been from your region you would have thrown Rajanikanth by this time in the gutters!
Whats wrong if we select a young team? The seniors had their day in the sun and have achieved all thats possible. None of them is going to better their earlier performances any more. tru they have contributed enormously so far and will sure help India to win one more series, but this is not correct planning for future. But how many years could you afford to keep youngsters at bay? Dhoni and yuvraj wont be youngsters in a 3 or 4 years time. Isnt it time to hand over the reins for ODI now? So what if yuvi flopped on test series for one tour? you have to backup your best new players and you have to phase out your best old players. As far as leadership is concerned, Dhoni isnt lacking in ideas. he did not falter once in 20-20 cup. He is aggressive much as ganguly was and is not unfazed easily. Isn't it time that we rise up from to number 1 or 2 position in ODI instead of langushing at 4th place as we done generally for last 5 to 6 year. The best game of the seniors could not win us the worldcup. The truth is most of us who support ganguly, vvs, tendulkar or dravid do so because we have grown up watching them at their best and identify with them as team india. We forget that even ganguly had to wait for years before breaking into a senior team. Imagine if 2 or 3 people like Badri or Raina or somebody who you dont know yet get a headstart now and win us worldcup in 4 to 8 years time? any takers?

Its not about giving chances to young players and replacing the seniors. Many young players were given chances to prove themselves. Jafar, Karthik, Uthappa played enough games to prove themselves and they are still strugling to get runs on board. There is no consistency in their perfomance. We definately have a very good young bowling attack but I can not say the same for batting. Yuvaraj and Dhoni are good batsmen but they failed miserably in Australia and that too in test matches where they didnt have overs restrictions. They had all the time in the world to play. Specifically Yuvraj, he had been saying in media that he deserved a chance and when given, he couldnt score in any of the four innigs.
It may be time the seniors should be replaced but not in AUS. Include young players in the next series. Whats the harm in waiting for just ONE MORE MONTH?
The board is listening to Yuvraj? He has got 15 runs in 6 innings so far on the tour.. well was there was a question mark if he could be picked ..
Now that Dhoni has thrown the gauntlet, he has to prove that the youngsters can perform better than Ganguly and Dravid.. Let's see if that happens. If it does he is vindicated, if not he'll be crucified.
I think the biggest problem is who is going to bat at No 3 . Gambhir is no good at that position.

They have quota system in BCCI. Only so many players from a region will be selected. Selection by BCCI is not based on who is in good form and scoring runs. If that was the case then even Kaif should have been selected. Kaif has experience and a great fielder too. Even Akash Chopra was dropped for test team. Badri does not have any pull from BCCI shitwigs. Badri should have been an automatic choice.

Karthik is from south, how come despite poor recent form he is still getting selected?
Check his last 6 ODI and test innings
Uttappa ..check his recent domestic performance and ALSO his ODI batting performance against last Pakistan series.
...wonder why these southies get selected still? yes politics in BCCI indeed
And What about Sreesanth? why did he get selected even if he was from south?

To Salil. That's what I meant. BCCI does not want too many players from one region. As you said Uthappa, Sreesanth and Dinesh are all from South. They did not want another player Badri who is also from South. Badri deserved it more than Dinesh or Uthappa.

I doubted there is any regional crap here with Badri.. And again Badri has come across more as accumulator then the attacker like the one in ODI, watch him in ranji and you will get a sense he is a solid Test player..
