hindublogger...this article was not only on crickinfo but also on austrailia's sun herald.

But check their headlines which are way more sensible and now check the one rediff come up with, so as to get more hits.

I dont agree
by AHMED SHARIEF on Jan 21, 2008 05:17 PM

Even on the flat batting pitches too teams fall on their faces scoring less than hundred. Pitches and conditions definately have their affect but for those who have plans to win..not for those who have the attitude to win. In perth we indians had the right attitude to win and rest everything is a history. It is said that sharne warne can spin the ball even in the sand...you dont need the pitch condition for the talented and right attitude. We should thank dennice lille for giving us the suggestions but at the same time the whole of credit goes to the players and the support staff

about India's win at Perth
by Syed Ahmedulla on Jan 21, 2008 03:28 PM  | Hide replies

Guys, cool........ I am sure, we (Indians) can all achieve such wonderful feats - why not, in our own respective fields (office work, engineering, medical, IT, IT-services, Art work, Sports, etc. etc...) - JUST THAT WE NEED TO BE FOCUSSED, "DISCIPLINED" AND WORK TOWARDS THE SET GOALS WITH UTMOST DETERMINATION, PLANNING AND "REAL EFFORT".

I am sure, India can win the next Test too - I would like it more, if they win comfortably with a good good margin - if not, with any margin - important is win it "fairly" and in a "sportive, well-disciplined and cultured-manner".

And guys, you all too - even while sharing your views and opinions on Rediff or etc. etc.. PLEASE USE GOOD LANGUAGE AND BE A GOOD AMBASSADOR FOR YOUR OWN-SELF AND INDIA. And, this shall be always and always - no matter we win, lose, draw and etc... ATTITUDE HAS GOT TO BE TOP-NOTCH and I am sure, WE ALL CAN DO IT, PROVIDED IF WE GIVE A SINCERE TRY TO DO IT!!! Al the best!!!!

Exactly!!!

Again, I wish to remind all - even if we become "No. 1 Test Team", we NEED TO MAKE SURE, WE DO NOT REPEAT SUCH UGLY THINGS AS WHAT RICKY PONTING AND HIS TEAM DID - though on the spur of moment!! Mr. Dhoni (our future captain) - I wish this message and the one I sent today reaches you. Best of Luck!!!

Why are we wasting our Energy on a Cricket Test match.
This is not OLYMPICS or A WORLD CUP !

its a small part, it was a team effort
by raj on Jan 21, 2008 02:51 PM

the wind cue might be 5% of the contribution. pathan, laxman, dravid, rpsingh, tendulkar, sehwag, all contributed with the bat. every run was vital. in the bowling department, sehwag took 2 vital wickets, kumble dint need any spin, etc etc. that theory might be good, its only a part of it.

No wonder we are so uncomfortable when we win a game after a long time against the mighty Aussies. Nonsense article.
