Hi! thats not a problem of selecting youngsters or ommiting experience. Its about the talents and how it is expressed. So you dont think about players you think about the talents..In past if they thought of ommitting and not giving chance for youngsters. Then the greatest sachin, ganguly nor dravid might be present.....Think after it and be in the side of the team....Lets Hope The Best With Full Positive Mind..Dont Underestimate the Youngsters..think of abdul Kalam Words.......Got It

New team
by Ajay on Jan 23, 2008 04:14 AM  | Hide replies

I think we will perform well. It is not any consideration, but we had a good outing in 20/20 without the experienced players. I am not comparing both the games, but that is some indication as to how we may do against Australia. Ganguly and Dravid are not so aggressive players, though I respect that they are two of the best batsmen we have. New players inducted into the team will be challenged to see if they are going to remain for 2-3 games or remain in the game for future. Love the team.

It was by luck India won 20/20. Cricket is not only about hitting the ball,it is more than that.you need to have a good plan and experience to tackle Ausssis attack. Playing 50 hours against Aussis is not gona easy for these youngesters. May luck be in favour of India this time also.

omission of ganguly & dravid
by on Jan 22, 2008 09:53 PM

it wasnt necessary for them to be dropped from the team .its a good idea to try new players ,but if you conceder its very important for the players who r in very good touch in aus.this two experince players can make a lot of that tour which is going on .and it will ease the pressure on the opponets when they r not in team .especially aus will try to exploit the new players .and the middle order is not strong enough.was this decission made to try new players or too lose the series .when the series is looking good to be won by india

What a country?
by vsgiri on Jan 22, 2008 05:04 PM  | Hide replies

The seniors have to go at one time or other and selectors have done the right thing by inducting youngsters and that too in one-day matches which is absolutely correct. People who oppose will wish the Team India to loose and even before the series start. What a pity/ We should be ashamed. Knowing this only Dravid, the real sportsman cricketer gave up captaincy. The only people to be blamed are the media which has mostly Ganguly people whether it is NDTV ot Times or Sahara who simply change like a Camellion

VSGIRI

If Dravid did not leave captaincy he would have been kicked out from even the team. For fear of that he retired. If you undrstand cricket 10% you would know how India will perform with the help of youngsters against Australia which has many experienced players.

We want all the seniors
by Mira Mohan on Jan 22, 2008 04:01 PM

Sourav Ganguly was India's most successful batsman in both Tests and ODIs last year. Rahul dravid has the experience to excel in Australian conditions. All the teams take time to adjust to the conditions in Australia%u2014whether it is pitches, weather or sledging. This Indian team had almost come to terms of the conditions down-under by winning the Perth test after being in the wilderness in the previous two Tests.

The team was in rejoicing mood a day earlier when this killer blow from the selectors turned the side being a unit to accusing the trust of the teammates.

The selectors are picking a young side to play in Australian conditions. The selectors should have sent the team along with the seniors a month back so that they could have adjusted to the conditions there. Then you decide internally without allowing the whole nation to know who is included and who is dropped.

The World cup is 3 years ahead, that too to be played in the Indian subcontinent which is far more different from Australian conditions. The young brigade should have been selected in the forthcoming South Africa series in India.

Come on Selectors %u2013 wake up. Give the seniors this last chance in Australia to shake up the Aussies off there ground. They won%u2019t be there during the next series in 2011.

Ganguly and Dravid are not Marathi as Vengsarkar. So it is very simple why Tendulkar and Kumble should stay in the team

India should loose 4th test. Remove Dravid, Dada, Laxamn then BCCI should face with youngster in even test then I can see how much they are brave.
Junk selectors. They don't know to play cricket but they are deciding future of cricketers.
Fro all Indian no sympathy for BCCI regarding Sydny test incident

Are you gone comepletely off your heads? It is the seniors who fought well against the AUssies. Learn cricket. Only good combination of senior and junior player will win the game. Watch the one dayers. India will lose pathetically.

Sorry Cruse: It is Pathetic and shameful that you are an Indian. Dont Think as negative. It is not about bringing youngsters. If you think like this then if the selectors of the past thought not to select youngsters then there wont be Master Sachin, Ganguly, nor Dravid. Got It
