You who calls himself an 'aspiring' leg spinner. Can you please give us a list of Ranji matches that you have played in . Maybe that woul help in enlightening us ignorant Indians about your true slef
Friends, Kumble is a gentleman cricketer. He along with Dravid and Tendulkar have been true role models for Indian youth as they have mantained their dignity at all times. This is not about South or North. Its about being proud of an Indians acheivement. I quote Waugh as follows . "Any fair-minded cricket fan would have enjoyed Anil Kumble's 600th Test wicket even though it was Australia's potential saviour Andrew Symonds". Now if Wuagh being an Australian praises Kumble then any sane Indian would do the same. But Mr Hemant , i guess we should blame Dravid and Tendulkar for scoring so many runs and not giving chance to other batsmen . And ganguly for captaining India so well that "Captain of Class 7-B' not get a chance of glory at international level. And what aout Kapil Dev. We should ask him to roll back all the runs, all the wickets and all the catches that he help(including that of Viv Richards in the 83 World Cup Finals). I guess that will please your infalted ego. "Aspiring leg spinner, indeed"
its irony that 18 years of consistent performance...reaching the milestone of 600 wickets no indian has ever done...and still no word from bcci ... yuvi hits 6 sixes and he is gifted imported car..1 crore rupees...what about kumble...he has been consistent throughout and never let us down....shame on u bcci...divide n rule policy...
koi khaas kaaam nai kiya kumble ne!!....he has infact ruined the career of many a good genuine leg spinners of the ball!!!....evn i ws one aspiring leg spinner...bt my coach told me therre is no future of any leg spinner in the country...coz kumble is gonna b around for two decades...whew 600 wkts in two decades.......so wt's the big deal????

Kumble has played with other spinners like Venkatapathi Raju, Rajesh Chauhan, Sunil Joshi and now Harbhajan. Only he survived the competition. It's not that he blocked the other aspiring spinners

I think Mr Chachar has been victim of manhandling by his coach and other in bcci. So, he's venting his frustration on kumble. Rest assured, you are a piece of shit to be discarded like earliert

Sick.. I seriously think you would not even know how to spell CRICKET
"aspiring leg-spinner" is different from a leg spinner.. I also aspire to be a movie star..but a quick look at the mirror tells the truth..
Let us not belittle his achievement...two decades of competitive cricket is no joke and if getting 600 wickets was an easy task he would not be the third guy in the world to do it..

Well movie star doesnt require looks but acting......aabey at least usne aspire kia, coaching le per tune mirror dekhar hi decision le liya.........................

InfraGuy..true movie star needs to act..but looking at the guys who are at the top today..looks are more important..and yes..a mirror does not lie..:)

Mr.Hemant believe me,I don't like to hurt you.. In India there were hundreds of Leg spinners in school, collages, gelly and distric level, but no one is coming up to challange Kumble or to the high standard level of international. Mr.Hemant, don't worry you can try to come up to Kumble's.standard.I like to see you replace him. Wish you all the best & luck..

LOL. You have to contribute your anger on the politics of BCCI and not on player who has been instrumental in winning a great deal of matches and has saved our faces in the recent bullshit we had in down under

Haan bhai. Kumble has done no great thing. It is you who are doing a great thing by publicly crying that you were not good enough to even make it to your state Ranji team. Kumble has been a good(great) performer for India . A best of 10/74 in tests and 6/12 in ODIs. A century in tests is also not a mena feat for a bowler. So Mr Heman, kid yourslef that you could not make it to the test team because of Kumble. The fact remains that you were nowher near Anil Kumble in terms of skill.
Had this been Tendulkars customary 100 the whole of Indian media and the politicians and all and sundry would have gone mad in congratulating him Here the poor fellow is sidelined may be because he is from South.

Don't agree the anti-South feeling of yours. I am a north Indian and have more regard for South Indians than north Indians. If you mean comparing west with south, then I would put both of them equally. But the same may not be true for politicians. In north the politicians play uneducated politix while in west and south they play a bit educated one

kyu kumble ne tuje koi treat deni hai kya...??....to for tu kyu khush ho raha hai???
Why this fixation with going ga-ga when a white man praises us. If a firang praises our cricketers, sportsmen, movies or anything then we go beserk..
All of us know Kumble is a champ bolwer, player and hopefully a champ captain in the days to come...but Mr.Waugh has to say this ..bas...this will be pasted all over the place..

Had there been no Bucknor/Bensor/Procter at Sydney, India's situation in the series would have been different.

achha to india wale to chicken hai na...kha lo ...kha lo....tere jaise logo ki wajah se hi unki himmat badhti hai!!
it is now very clear that Kumble is India`s best bowler of all the times. He is shrewd and means business. No doubt he is quiet, but he is very effective. He will also prove to be a good Captain.

abe kumble is js a stop gap arrangement....& he's nt d bst indian bowler....prior to 2004 his record outside india ws abysmal....yet he kept playing for india!! jaane kitne budding leg spinners ka future kharaab hua hai is kumble ki wajah se!!
RE:Kumble and Ganguly
by ARINDAM GHOSH on Jan 18, 2008 09:59 AM
That is because Kumble has a basic degree in Engineering. Ganguly has a basic degree in commerce. So the schooling shows up in their performances. All Engineers are basically trained in problem solving skill.

by hemant chahar on Jan 18, 2008 10:25 AM
achha to engineers ka khoon khoon baaki sabka paani??....wah arindam sahab.....these bloody engineers r given too much of salary in india for nothing!!...they 1st do engineering & thn choose other lines...coz its easy fr thm....& this way they ruin d career of 1000s of ppl!!
RE:Kumble and Ganguly
by Saikat Thakur on Jan 18, 2008 09:14 AM
Remember that under Ganguly India became "Team India" or "Men in Blue". And after all this article is on Kumble's fantastic record and not on comparison between the two's captaincy. They have their own style and Ganguly was exceptionally aggressive, as a result India got success in the last down under tour.
