I wish the last test game should not be offically counted as a game. It was like a bunch of whites dictating , get away with what they wanted on field.
aaaa, I am reading your comments where you said you wrote to CA and ICC, and that you even got the response back from them. Would you mind sharing what they said?
RE:ICC Response
by aaaa on Jan 15, 2008 07:19 AM
Also CA wrote to me sayng that they have roped in some guy (check cricinfo) to teach the etiquette to Team Australia. Team India only has to win Indian fans will only vent their feelings here but not question BCCI nor write to ICC or CA. I think it is sad.
RE:ICC Response
by aaaa on Jan 15, 2008 07:18 AM
It was diplomatically put. Nothing special. But they read it. And if more people do it, i mean those who genuinely want to watch a good game and not staunch 100% only team india should win fans, then it will make a difference. It better.
Also 80% agreed with Roebuck to axe Ponting wigth 5% vote coming from India. This was in Sydney Morning Herald.
I wish the BCCI and the Indian Cricket team did. I still remember when he pulled the team off the field. At the time, people ridiculed him for not being sporty. Whose right now? I back you Sunil.

When and how did he grow them? I remember his pre-series comments before facing Pakistan in 1978-79, which said,"They will pulverise us to pulp." Incidentally, India won that series 2-0.
if you want to foster global interconnectedness and stand up for justice, positive change do write to ICC/CA/BCCI OR else write to ICL/IPL/the firms who give fat money to Australia cricketers.
Keep in mind If you chose the later then i guess you should work for a truly indian firm that does not rely on outside contracts.
RE:very simple
by Lotiya Pathan on Jan 15, 2008 06:51 AM
IPL does. ICL has a different format where the local cricketers get promoted, the local cricketers who were treated like a trash by BCCI
RE:very simple
by aaaa on Jan 15, 2008 06:59 AM
Ian Harvey, Stuart Law, Michael Bevan(coach) were the Aussies with one of the teams which eventually won it. Ian Harvey was the Man of the series.

That team is Chennai Superstars. Each team had about four international and the rest were locals. Where as BCCI is blowing the cash on the international players to put the ICL out. The same BCCI could have invested this money in the local circuit and we would have been much better team and probably had a much better infrastructer.
My first cousin has played Ranji, and I know the first hand how they were treated by BCCI. The guys used to buy their own equipments at times.. We're talking about Ranji, The premier tournament in India
RE:very simple

I read the blog of Sanjay Bangar. I agree with the shoddy treatment of BCCI.
BTW have you seen the state of the equipment and the people who nurture the wickets in indian stadium. After reading Bangar's blog i am not surprised. Here in this forum there are patriotic people who support the team completely but there are legit questions that they shiuld be asking to the BCCI.
RE:very simple
by Lotiya Pathan on Jan 15, 2008 07:38 AM
mr.aaaa, what's the point? BCCI is public body, accountable to nobody really. It can be said they're accoutable to Public, but that is...oh well... It's like all our MPs and MLAs are accountable to the people who have voted for them, They all are multi Millioners in few years..ha ha
RE:very simple
by aaaa on Jan 15, 2008 07:21 AM
So how many people who support the team blindly took issue with the way BCCI operates. Zip likely. then it defeats the purpose as BCCI stands to gain monetarily.
RE:RE:very simple

have you been to the game in India? Wankhede or any stadiam? I have had an oppertunity to go to Wankhede about four yrs ago and it was horrible. Hey man peole get used to with it, but the point is we public has made BCCI so reach and they can't even fix up the stadiams?? Iran even has better stadiam then we do.. (I saw the documenteries on Iran not too long ago so i know... ha ha)

Now that ICL launched, we talked about his experience back in the days. It was like only wealthy could play for the state team. Because you're very much on your own money most of the season, and then you will be lucky if you ever get reimburshed by State board (they get the money from BCCI).
RE:very simple
by aaaa on Jan 15, 2008 07:07 AM
Oh God; I can't argue with you. I am only telling if you hate Australia then you have two ways. Either write to BCCi/ICC/CA asking for change OR OR write to the firms that finance ICL/IPL so that you will have NO Australia cricketers.
Again i want to see teams compete healthily so that we as spectators have our time and money's worth. At the end of the day even if any team wins it does not mean i will have automatic lunch or dinner.

Ex-convicts children don't nderstand gentleman's language. They have to be addressede using selected curse words. Hope someone collect such list and send it to the Indian team so that team can use it on the field.
from the beginning of the time. Only country in the world, where if you are born, you 'actually' took birth in your OWN country. and not some usurped land.

Yes, the same Nehru who at the stroke of midnight delivered a speech named "Tryst with Destiny", chaste english, intended to be addressed to the nation, when more than 2/3rd the population couldn't read, speak, or understand English. I mean who was he pandering to?

to those indians settled outside. presumably they could decipher what he said.
Anyways good luck for Tony Greig's wishes that no one considers the state of the game amidst very strong nationalistic feelings even in this darn age(where the whole world has gotten smaller).
RE:i support Gavaskar
by aaaa on Jan 15, 2008 06:13 AM
same Gavaskar should have approached Chauhan and asked him before the hearing. Listen folks i have got experience with these matters, these are the procedures that a match referee will look for and hence do these things by the book and let's nail them down. I am afraid he did not use the opportunity and his experience properly.
RE:i support Gavaskar
by Lotiya Pathan on Jan 15, 2008 06:42 AM
What made you think Gawsker got the experience? lol.. Chauhan is politician and as experience as Gwasker if not more.. The need of the hour was some experience lawayer teaming with Indian attendees. What purpose does it serve in making such lamn statements? I am sorry but making no sense. The fact of the matter is Proctor listened to Aussie and not Indians... period. This is not the quarrel in the neighbourshood where he said she said works. Without any firm endience, he just can't ban anybody..
RE:RE:i support Gavaskar

by not following up tactically now it looks very bad on Mr. Tendulkar. We can all think/claim Tendulkar's integrity is high but if and when it involves he said/she said thing matters can go either way.
Very sad on the part of Team India to let Tendulkar down.
If you feel that you are undone by what happened write to ICC. I DID-complaining about Team Australia, umpires etc.,
But if you tell me there is no point then i dont see there is any reason for you to keep on harping using the same perspective only this forum. That is not going to help the cause anyway.
Even better you should all have take action so that Team india does not play in any of the ICC sponsored cricket games. Before that do something so that the ICL/IPL do not sign any players from Australia and other countries that you dont like. Same with indian firms signing contracts with players from those countries.
RE:Listen folks
by aaaa on Jan 15, 2008 06:10 AM
While you folks are at it you could also write to Cricket Austrlia that Aussie team flouts rules and hence those who live in test/one day centers will shun watching games involving Australis. If more people write it then it should have some effect(afterall economics trump any national bias these days).
Before you ask I did write to them expressing my concern.
RE:Listen folks
by aaaa on Jan 15, 2008 05:50 AM
But wrt to Harbhajan issue 2 things. 1) it seems that the particular word was identified as not to be used. 2) If Harbhajan said in hindi and was misunderstood then i tend to agree with the flaws as suggested by the Mumbaiker Mihir Bose. => When you deal with any 2 people there are bound to be misinterpretation. there is a process and Team India should have used a good attorney to thrash the case as was suggested. A collective failure on their part.
RE:RE:Listen folks
by aaaa on Jan 15, 2008 05:55 AM
And why are indians and team india worried about getting the racist tag? How does it matter. We got people who are getting killed for speaking hindi in NE India and people are killed for religion, water(between two states) and people from certain areas of the country feel that they are superior to others.
And we vehemently attach ourselves to the british invented Aryan, Dravidian(yep it was the british who first used that name) theory. Eventhough both are purely liguistic based ONLY. So you folks see the flaw. => i guess you dont subsribe to that theory ad hence dont call people as madrasi etc.,
Barry Richards claiming Indians play the race card.. never mind South Africa PRACTISED racism..
Reid feeling that Gavaskar is supposed to be neutral. Never mind the rest of the ICC officials (including Procter, Bucknor, Benson, Whats-his-name-the-Third-Umpire, and Punter-the-fourth-umpire) appear POSITIVELY ABSOLUTELY GLEEFULLY partisan anti-anti-anti-Indian to the core. That's not being non-neutral mates.. That's just unfortunate.
They are unfortunate errors that Indians, Pakis, West Indians, Bangladeshis and (occasionally) West Indians must learn to live with and understand.. Why, they should in fact start loving the whites more for these unfortunate errors.. I don't know why, but the general thinking in the west seems to be going this way..
Yes, I am convinced whites are against racism.. When they FEEL that anyone other than them practise it. Especially someone who comes close to challenging their supremacy.. even if that someone has been the once undisputed champion batsman, even if that someone has ACTUALLY undergone the unfair handling from these whites himself.. Never mind anything..
The whites ARE against racism.. And the whole world better believe it!

Oh my god; Geoffrey Boycott has called for the immediate firing of the 3rd umpire. How can he do that? Or is there any evil motive?
RE:All whites are against racism!

@aaaa
;-) You got it mate.. Geoffrey Boycott will now get the "out you go", and "thats trash" message from Reid and others.. But maybe he will not.. after all there is a slight difference between the colour of his skin and Sunil Gavaskar's .. . :-)
