Dhoni play well in 2nd inng in sydney. i don't think that's good condition for Karthink to play in perth.
i know he play very well in England but england were without there frontline bowler like Hoggard, Harminson , S.Jones & Flintoff

good morning sweet mango....how are you, long time no see, hope all well with you!! yes, i think the team combo you have given is possibly the best way out of the mess we are in...if perth can be conquered (if it at all can!!) then is the best possible team to play this test against the cheaters (no need to call them aussies anymore)

you sure is right abt yuvi. it's time they send him back to india, this way he gets to spend a lot of time with all the girls in his life. he needs to sit down with his parents and decide the course of his life. he's a good cricketer who needs to sor out his priorities and change his attitude. until he does not do that, he's headed for nothing but trouble, it's sad to be saying this for him but facts do speak for themselves...as for viru who have been saying from day one to include him in the playing eleven but these jokers have their own way of thinking and there's not much we can do about it...really indian cricket is where it is because of pathetic political goons and admnistrators we have inherited from the raj..!!
anyway, be on the board and keep contributing..

Guys stop talking about calling off the tour and try and win ATLEAST one out of the remaining two matches to prove that we can also win the Aussies in good pitches.

It is now confirmed that Yuraj will not find a place in the playing elevan for the rest of the series. And with his brilliant 73-ball century , Sehwag has effectively sealed the opener's slaught. It is a question of whether they want to play Karthick or Jaffer as the other opener. I Pathan gets in place of H Singh (as we don't need two spinners in Perth) and the batting line up looks great with Rahul returning back to lower middle order.

The line up should be

W Jaffer / D Karthick
V Sehwag
V Laxman
S Tendulkar
S Ganguly
R Dravid
M Dhoni
I Pathan
A Kumble
RP Singh
I Sharma

Cheers and All the best TEAM INDIA !!!

NBA shows what should be done with bad umpiring
by vikatakavi on Jan 12, 2008 09:12 AM

NBA has shown what is the fair way to deal with bad umpiring decisions. Read this article.

sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=3192421&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines

The gist is this - Due to a bad call, Shaq was fouled out in a game between Miami Heat and Atlanta Hawks. Hence, David Stern, the league commissioner ruled that the last 51.9 sec (the time left after the bad call) has to be replayed.

May be ICC and Speed will learn from this.

Instead of prosecuting Ponting over the catch, file a lawsuit against him !!
by S Chandra on Jan 12, 2008 07:40 AM  | Hide replies

India should not try to prosecute Ponting over the catch he claims, because its a case of "did he really know about the ball being grounded" or "was the catch complete ?" There's a lot of grey there.

Instead India should focus on putting a defamation lawsuit on him, for which he has to be taken to court. The defamation lawsuit should come from Harbhajan's lawyers, where if no evidence is found against Harbhajan in the racism case, it should be argued that Ponting made up this story to remove Harbhajan from the series, and take revenge for how Symonds was trated by the crowds in India.

That he made up this story based on Harbhajan's past history.

And the others providedfalse testimony.

For that Ponting and Symonds should go to jail ! Or at best, they should be fighting a legal case for the better part of their lives !!

If there's no proof against Bhajji (and there isnt so far, looks like), the chances of putting Symonds and Ponting under a defamation lawsuit are very strong indeed.

Harbhajan should sue them !! He will win for sure !! Come'on Bhajji do it, we are behind you !!!

Every effort to be made to charge ponting for fixing sydney test with umpires, match referee and match proctor. Things ought to proceed towards this direction and nothing less than this.

hi there..
you seem like you know what you are talking about, i hope you are right about it!

if Harbhajan has such an option open, we indians would for sure support his cause.. and on a bigger scale, india also supports the BCCI in their stand to pull out of the tour if the charges of racism against Bhajji is not dropped, its an insult to the country that has fought racism and other such feelings towards people!

Pnoting's runrate was declining...and he may be sacked frfom the team anyday...that was the worry he had with his mind...he can not face Harbhajan...so he stitched a very good story of rasicm, he indireclty called Symonds "a monkey" (Symonds may asked by ponting to become monkey for a day)......

Racial Slur
by ravi prasad on Jan 12, 2008 07:28 AM

It is rather strange that a slur hould be Racial even if Harbhajan and Symonds had engaged in sledging simply because both gentlemen are 'Coloured "

My prediction is that this series will be called off, I'll tell you why
by S Chandra on Jan 12, 2008 07:09 AM

My prediction is that if the Harbhajan hearing is not overturned, this threat from BCCI is not idle. I think the tour will be called off.

I'll tell you why.

Firstly, BCCI has been pushed into a corner by the country. The outrage all over the country at Harbhajan being termed a racist, that too by Australians, is too much.

Secondly, the BCCI seeing that Pawar is the only one who can get some respect from the ICC for India has given the right to pull the tour to Pawar. He is the only person who can decide whether this tour should go ahead or not.

Now, given his history, remember he was pushed off a stage in Bombay in the Champions Trophy, by Ponting and Damien Martyn. This became a big news event at the time, and he was even asked about it.

But he chose to overlook it at the time, since he considered the Australians "little kids" who make mistakes like this all the time.

Rajeen Shukla who was media manager at the time, was asked about the incident. He was enraged but said Mr. Pawar chose to overlook the incident at the time, owing to magnanimity.

But Pawar hasnt forgotten that incident. He knows the true nature of the people in question. And thats why he is not back down. If he doesnt get what he wants he will know that in order for him to maintain face in front of the country, he has to pull the tour.

Otherwise people will show those images of him being humiliated all over the media.

One way or the other, this tour is going to be cancelled.
