Abuse(s) must be ba(nne)d! ... See the havoc they cause and caused now ... "Maaki" (Hindi ...) / "Chaila" (Marathi) / "Niyamma" (Telugu), whatever, abuse the noble Mother ... It's worse than the 'rascist' "Monkey" . In fact, Abuse(s)must be banned on and off the field! In the interest of Peace. Murthy

harbajan is not a good cricketer and must be banned fro life.,afterall it is cricket and indians play for money and gambling, media, ads etc,and other sports are neglected.Calling monkey to symonds is like calling all the africans in the world as monkey and harbajan truly proves he is racist and britisher by birth...royal family!!!!

Murthy, any abusive language is bad, particularly in sports. However, why did Symonds initially stuck to his words that Bhajji said monkey and later on changing his stance to Bhajji would have said something else in Punjabi and he heard as monkey. In the entire episode, this shows clearly that Symonds did not hear what Bhajji said and he just thought Bhajji abused him which is not acceptable under any law. Given this type of complaints from Australian players taken very seriously by umpires and Mike Procter shows how much one sided the entire approach to support Australia in the current situation. This happened inspite of people seeing in the media very widely report about the things happened on the field and many senior players and journalists criticized Austrlian players behavious on field and how umpires have supported Aussies winning the game. I feel that this is the first time India, such a divided country we are, have united for one cause and supported fully our players. If you really see, no one ever questioned the Indian defeat, but everyone questioned Aussie victory even though it is great to win 16 mathces in continous series. Winning such continuity is not that easy and it takes lots of good play and of course bit of luck and support from umpires like this.

earlier media was mainating harbhajan told nothing now slowly they are changing the tone ICC should not budge to the bcci pressure just because harbhajan is indian we should not blindly support him

venkatachalam varadarajan Saar, pls pls understand the delicay of the situation simple abuse is better for harbhjan than racial abuse... that is how Symond monkey is making his case strong abuse racial slurr 3 match ban ... otherwise abuse only 1 match ban

The Australians as the leading team in the world have to show the way. But sadly they are the worst culprits and other nations have to follow suit.
in response to a similar news i had written that probably harbhajan would have said " Iski Man ki" which andrew must have taken as " eschemonkey" This is the Indian Mind, with horizontal unbiased thinking. I hope world understands us.

Only stupid people think a like. Both Harbhajan and you must be cheap people to use and think about such indecent abuses. Harbhajan should not be left unpunished if he had used such word on the field. Cricketers are Country's ambassadors who represent our culture. Harbhajan is no exception. He has disgraced Punjab if he had said that.

Ramdas,I have no doubt in mind that you have disgraced this forum by calling Ashutosh a stupid.Neither Harbhajan, nor Ashutosh happen to be stupid or cheap but you sure are!Additionally, you are blind also because you could not see that even Symonds was saying a lot to Bhajji. Why then Symonds was not punished? If they sledge,it is justified because they play their cricket the hard way and are naturally aggressive but if Indians retort, they should & would be penalised.Great amount of fairness, must say!And for heaven's sake,do not talk about players being ambassadors representing our culture.Their primary job is to play to the best of their ability and try to win as many matches as possible by legitimate means.Additionally,if they can set excellent examples by their conduct,it's a true bonus but should not be at the cost of taking undue aggression and unwarranted behaviour by their opponents lying down and keep losing matches like this. It's because of real idiots like you that Indians have an image of submissive and docile people who are the favourite punch-bag of almost everybody.Harbhajan has neither disgraced Punjab nor the country but you are a real slur on this country which has ultimately woken up to the fact that in today's era,you need to care for your self-respect and never ever take anything lying down. You will never understand this because you appear to be a spineless buffoon.

What rediff is reporting now,was something which was said about 4 days ago by a gentleman in this forum.I guess that rediff did not pay any attention to it.Now I think have this thing of "Voila!!! Look what I found".
Guys can we stop discussing cricket for some time. In Australia, hurt by the actions of some stupid, idle people who have nothing to do but file false PLIs to gain cheap publicity, Sania is considering quitting tennis. I think we should all wholeheartedly support her
RE:Cricket is not everything
by Durga Prasad on Jan 12, 2008 10:15 AM
I have nothing against Sania. In fact we love her for her game. But her action by placing her feet next to the National Flag which infuriates all patriots. Is this not a dishonour to the Nation for which she is representing and and playing for? She should apologise to the nation for this disrespect to National Flag.
RE:Cricket is not everything
by raj on Jan 12, 2008 11:18 AM
dude, she probably dint even know if the flag was near her leg. the angle of the photograph also is suspect. when she was tired, the only thing on her mind was some rest to her legs.
RE:Cricket is not everything
by Abhijat Singhal on Jan 12, 2008 10:21 AM
What have u done for the nation by the way in order to question Sania's patriotism. She was doing nothing but a sporting routine in order to stop protein release. And her feet were also 3 feet away at a diagonal angle to the flag. Your are questioning a girl's patriotism who refused 6 million dollars in order to play for the nation. People like u will neither do anything nor let others do anything.
