DADA THE BEST
by sivakumar patel on Jan 13, 2008 09:52 PM

first of all the real culprit is MR.Kumble for accepting the concept of fielder view rather than the 3rd umpire or use of technology for conducting a fair play.if Dada was captain he would not have accepted this funda because the aussies at the best.because he is only captain who had dented the aussies in thier grave yard for past 15years where non- of the rest of the world captain able to achieve.Aussie still protest it with in the spirit it is the written aggreement from both the parties.have you noticed the body lanuage of the indian when they are lead by 70 odd runs is still poor ,because they have the pschy brain still they believe losing the test is very much possible lack of the application with the spirts .No negative bowling from the around the wicket by our spinners.no field spread no bounces only full pitch & gifted half volleys for belting.ganguly is the only who has the better strike rate for the indians.only 12 balls to be faced or 12minues to save a test with 3 wickets in hand .india fumbles a golden opportunity to stay in the test.aussies plays the game from the mind rather than on the field.during last test series for aussies in india they simply walk during out after 1 test matches onwards , they played the trick & won the series .because indian love to fall in the traps time & again.
dinesh kartick needs to be in the team in ozz series because he has better technique than dhoni.yuviraj is the only indian players ever to gift wicket to the part time spinner

Ganguly's defence of aggression is right
by Ashish Kumar on Jan 13, 2008 04:23 PM

A good quality even if present in an opponent, should be appreciated and as far as possible inculcated in oneself. Ganguly has stated what he had practised in his own days as Indian captain. The right response to aggressiveness is aggressiveness and not sissy like conduct which India is showing. No one has yet shown the guts for decalaring the 2nd test unofficial which we indeed can not having ourselves entered into a strange kind of agreement. Are we living in the era of Sir W.G.Grace? If Kumble can not judge his opponent's attitude before the event and commits himself to such idiotic agreements that have led to India's defeat then he needs to start thinking afresh. I would not ask for his head as his otherwise a good felow but he will do well to listen to Ganguly in his future conduct. We should not expect too much from the BCCI as cricketers themselves have weakened their stand. Ultimately they will cave in unless Sharad Pawar actually usses his financial muscles to bully ICC. I doubt whether he would actually do that. In today's international cricket no corners are given nor asked. This is the era tough cricketers and the sooner Indians adopt the contemporary attitude, the better it will be for them.

Why Care

I wonder how much of what rediff reported here is actually true. The same interview appears in Cricinfo, as well, but nowhere do they quote Ganguly making that remark abt 'spirit of the game'. Also, compare the last sentence of this article with what's reported in Cricinfo-

"We had a good year before this series. I spoke to the Indian board and said one warm-up was not enough. We should have had two. We had the Pakistan home series so it was difficult to fit in another game."

Rediff leaves out certain parts and adds in things that probably were never said, just to add fuel to the fire.

Leaving out the "We had the Pakistan home series so it was difficult to fit in another game", as Rediff did in their report, would make anyone think that Ganguly is blaming the board for not giving them enough matches.

Some Yello Journalism, rediff!

These are the people who have disrupted the games at Edengardens when things were not to their liking. Theses are the people who call themselves communists and spend crores on Durga puja and Kali puja . 95% of these people travel without tckets in the Sealdah section of the Railways. These are the people who have spoiled the innocent Biharis and UPits There is no need to listen to these people who use to call Hockey as hookey.

Durga Puja and Kali Puja are community festivals, with very little religious significance attached to them nowadays. You might, though, call them hypocrites for indulging in activities (like Durga Puja and Kali Puja) that are patently bourgeois.

What is wrong in celebrating Durga Puja & Kali Puja?????
Mr Arunachalam ,a communist went to Ayyapa Temple in Sabrimmala!!!
Now ,Putin visits church & Russian also go to church ,which again is great sign..
Hence I feel that Bongs including all comminists would rediscover their past glory only by following the path of relgion which would stop them from becoming hypocrite, barbaric and more humane..
Bongs wake on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand i.e 12th Jan and follow the dharam as he had given clarion call to whole of India ..
forget about small and petty minded pests like VS Giri

Why must u mix up Ganguly with Bengal? Are u an Indian or a south Indian? The only justification of identifying Ganguly with Bengal could your considering yourself a south Indian and not an Indian.

If he scores at Perth like he did at Melbourne and Sydney...then whatever he has stated here will hold truth. Else, he is rejoicing in his superlative comeback and saying needless things.

Ganguly & his attitude
by Narwekar on Jan 12, 2008 01:00 PM  | Hide replies

Now I think time has come to sack the traitor Ganguly permenantly out of Indian team. At the hour of need he is praising & supporting an enemy. Entire world is praising Kumble for his way of handling the issue and likes of Gavaskar, Boycott, Sidhu, Harshad, etc., have appreciated Kumbles statesmanship ways. Also everybody is hoping that one day Kimble will become CEO of Indian Cricket. This gully chap natured man says he doesnot know the meaning of Kumble's now famous"One team played with true spirit". White ass cleaning maharaja of indian cricket.
Is he once again hoping for captaincy of Indian cricket?

Traitor of the nation whatsoever position or capability he is in, is traitor & must be punished.

Chola The Greatest in the Universe
We all know how desparate!
by Chola The Greatest in the Universe on Jan 12, 2008 12:58 PM

I mean, literally Aussies were desparate and made sure somehow they win this test match - unless Indians & Umpires are part of the match-fixing scandal again just to enable Aussies to win 16 matches in a row.

This meaningless Test Series must be called-off because there is no motivation left for the team to continue with so much of ill-feeling everywhere.

Kumble can not wishaway this fact by being diplomatic. Indian captains must be more assertive in their opinions and must be fearless in telling their minds.

Don%u2019t speak as if you alone have sports man qualities of admiring opposition. Your intrests should be in same team's interest. Not different from that.Do'nt have your own agendas.I wish you would have admired how umpires backed Austalia by balancing all bad cricket of Australia, good cricket of India with their umpiring skills to setup victory for them.
