The fight is lost already. When you congratulate a body for a wrong doing then there is no fight. Why did Mr. Pawar congratulate ICC for the decsision to change the umpires. Please please understand the simple truth, Mr. Pawar will not fight the Harbachan case because his stake is high. He has to compete with Mr. Dalmiya and become the ICC Chairman. Thus he needs Cricket Australia vote, more over there are many players in the Australian side who have agreed to play in IPL 20 20 league. If the relationship with CA is not kept good then all would play for ICL. The stake is very high for Mr. BCCI. The only person who had fought like a bold man was Mr. Dalmiya. The politians are so selfish that they are not bothered about our National pride.
The entire episode indicates that the Sydney Test was fixed by Rickey Ponting with Umpires (First, Second and Third), match referee and match proctor. Pawar should ask ICC to interrogate the entire episode (both wrong umpiring and wrong ban decision) from Match Fixing angle. There is a strong motive for Rickey Ponting to Fix the match - to achieve a record of 16th consecutive test victory. Ponting is known for his core lieing activities. So, Mr. Paward, please insist ICC to view the entire episode as a match fixing one.

I agree. Atrocious umpiring decisions ruining the run of the game and India's chances for at least pulling out a draw must have also contributed to frayed tempers all around among the players. Whether Bhajji called any one with any mean sounding word is another thing not quite established. Also recall Steve Waugh's comment about the cultural differences. In India even if we used the word said to have been used, it would not connote or denote a racist view. How many times we playfully refer to someone as a "what a monkey" - but we could be just using it as a friendly comment to show how amused we are, and not as a racist comment. Indians are not known to be any racists even in the least imaginable way either in deed or words. That we have our own communal tangles within the country is a different matter.
That apart, may be one of the Ozzie players considers he is different and very fashionable, but his overall make up, with a highly individualistic hairstyle and the paintings on his face, do invite special attention of the cricket spectators atleast in India. Also I think it was in such sheer amusement that a few Indian spectators came up with gestures and antics that very rightly upset Aussies. But it was mistaken as a racist act, and added to our great Shree Shant's awful gestures, stoked up the anger of Australians, and that's the backlash we had seen at Syney, which snowballed into such a huge matter. I am sure Mr. Sharad Pawar will dwell on all these and ensure there i
australia won lot of matches and create history that they are unbeatable. but see if i have good memory since 1992 so many matches sololy won by umpaires rather than australians. yes i agree some times opp teams also have the benifit of wrong umpiring but only few became result oriented. but for australians it is always good shot.

There is a correction - Australians won all the matches played in Australia with the help of umpires only. Once Sunil Gavaskar told that in Australia we have to play with 13 players (including 2 umpires). Shameless wins.
