Instead of prosecuting Ponting over the catch, file a lawsuit against him !!
by S Chandra on Jan 12, 2008 07:38 AM  | Hide replies

India should not try to prosecute Ponting over the catch he claims, because its a case of "did he really know about the ball being grounded" or "was the catch complete ?" There's a lot of grey there.

Instead India should focus on putting a defamation lawsuit on him, for which he has to be taken to court. The defamation lawsuit should come from Harbhajan's lawyers, where if no evidence is found against Harbhajan in the racism case, it should be argued that Ponting made up this story to remove Harbhajan from the series, and take revenge for how Symonds was trated by the crowds in India.

That he made up this story based on Harbhajan's past history.

And the others providedfalse testimony.

For that Ponting and Symonds should go to jail ! Or at best, they should be fighting a legal case for the better part of their lives !!

If there's no proof against Bhajji (and there isnt so far, looks like), the chances of putting Symonds and Ponting under a defamation lawsuit are very strong indeed.

Harbhajan should sue them !! He will win for sure !! Come'on Bhajji do it, we are behind you !!!

brother till now he must have known that he had grounded the ball or he has taken support of the ground so that ball did not popout of the hand. he should appologise now for the appeal. but unsportingly and foolishly unashamed he is justifying himself. he dose not deserve any respect relaibility and should be banned. acb should suspend him as a captain and player to save their pride as a respected country. otherwise no one will beleive an australian as a sportsman is an ambassador of his country culture nature values.

Cricket, as the Australians would have us play it.
by S Chandra on Jan 11, 2008 12:03 PM  | Hide replies

This is how the Aussies want cricket to be played. You know hard and fair.

An example (Harbhajan walks out to bat) -

Ponting : Welcome to the crease you descendant of a truck driver. How's your mother and my kids ?

Bhajji : What ?? Is this the way you people talk to visitors to your country ?

Ponting : Yes, its called the hard but fair way of playing cricket, you c**nt.

Bhajji : Well, Im going to report this to the match refree.

Ponting : Dont bother, we already bought him. Btw, Im going to kill your family tonight.

Bhajji : This is an outrage.

Ponting : Yes, but as you can see, I havent made any racist comment so far, u illegitimate descendant of a toilet sweeper.

Bhajji : This is too much, get lost u monkey !

Ponting : Waaaaah !How dare you call me a monkey ?? Im going to run to the match refree now.

Bhajji : What ! What about all the things u just called me ?

Ponting : You cant blame us for that, we are Australians u see. Its in our culture to call people abusive names u c. We cant

help it.

And since I cant face your bowling, Im allowed to make up false charges to have u removed from the series.

Thats our definition of playing cricket the "hard" way. We have to swear in order to play our cricket. I mean everyone knows

in this world that unless you swear like an uneducated sailor you cant play tough cricket. You're in trouble mister for

calling me a monkey.

... and the rest is history ..

Steve Bucknor seem to have some thing aginst subcontinent teams, especially India. May be because they are not as dark as them or beacuse more civilzed than them. Sort of envy. So Steve he also needs some counselling so that he can come out of complex feeling. Mr.Bucknor, get well soon. I wish I could send flowers to you.

With the least respect to Girish I like to say that, person like him tarnish the names of Indians all over the world. Whole nation is talking against racism. Unfortuntlly this guy is writing about skin color and civilization.'Civilized' person like Girish makes such kind of derogatory comments, are we morally qualified to defend Baajji?

Please don%u2019t misunderstand me. All I am trying to convey is that racism is having two faces like a coin.If Racial superiority is one side racial inferiority is other because of which people like Steve get affected mentally and devolop prejudice. That's why I told he also needs couselling to overcome that.

Please don't pitch-in racism. It is not about Black or White. It is just their ability to conduct the job IMHO.
