Spine less Kumble
by Gokul on Jan 09, 2008 02:18 PM  | Hide replies

Indian captain Anil Kumble has revealed that he had called up Australian captain Ricky Ponting, after the third play's day of the Sydney Test, requesting him to not press the charge of racism against offspinner Harbhajan Singh. Kumble told a press conference in Canberra on Wednesday that he, as captain, offered to apologise on Harbhajan's behalf, if there was any offence caused.

Ponting, Kumble said, declined the offer and said he wanted to see the process through after complaining to umpires Steve Bucknor and Mark Benson at the end of the third day's play.

Y shud Kumble apologise for nothing.. Hes a spine less captain remove Kumble from Cataincy and give it back to Ganguly...

I disagree. He has spine. He has realized his mistake. Now he is in a situation, he can't go back. He must be confused now.

You can say Tendulkar spineless to say Harbhajan is innocent.

India suffering the fate like Kauravas
by Raman on Jan 09, 2008 09:22 AM  | Hide replies

Someone here gave a list of how Indians and Aussies are like Pandavas and Kauravas, but i think in reality it is we Indians who are modern day Kauravas

Here is why

Take the record of AUS vs India in the last 15 years in ODIs,whereever we play we get our butts kicked big time but we still whine and keep playing them all the time to someday win big
just hasnt happened like how Kauravas kept trying.

We cheat a lot in our home series AK Bansal,AV Jayaprakash have all been big cheats but we whine about Asoka De Silva or S Bucknor like how Kauravas complained that Krishna tricked them,in reality Krishna asked them how can you even think of fair play when you never did that once

We have sledged a lot,if u read cricinfo review of so many matches in 1990s Indians have been doing it as much as anyone...but we whine cause Aussies do it better and wrap it up with WINS

Every time in WCUP or big tournament we get our butts kicked real badly by AUSSIES where ever it may be or whoever be the umpire..

Pandavas were known to be unbeaten whereas our heroes are known to choke in the big stage and flop, anyone remember those 20 odd finals we lost,oh ya blame Bucknor for that also...

Kauravas were big whiners and the only thing good about them were they kept fighting over and over, same thing with Indians, even after this much they want the tour to go on for the match fees and Tendulkar to score a few more hundreds and get out bowled inside edging the ball...
Cant wait for WCUP 2011....

Aus h

Aus have won the WCUP 4 times and twice without losing a single game, they should be called ARJUNAs team,no way India is Pandavas..

Sachin is no Krishna, cause Krishna is undefeated whereas Sachin is always defeated under pressure and when badly needed, maybe he is like Karna, great warrior but no LUCK..

hahaha.... one question man... When Sachin is not needed. How do you classify that during needed matches ( may be finals ) he is not playing. If he is playing then only we are reaching the needed matches na.... Other thing is, if you are right, and Sachin is not the match winner, why do you bother only him during finals. Let everybody play the match properly, we will win. We cannt bark only at Sachin.

Pandavas = Good and fair, Kauravas = Bad and cheaters? That was debated in Mahabharat too. Maybe Krishna did not cheat - but he took advantage of loopholes. So I guess either you picked a wrong analogy to argue or there is nothing to argue at all.

Neither Indian team nor Aussies are saints
Both are bad
Both Sledge
Both cheat(AV Jayaprakash AK Bansal)
But Aus are better team so they are Pandavas and Indians loose all the time whether u like it or not..

Racism and India
by Balaji on Jan 09, 2008 06:23 AM  | Hide replies

Racism is an age old malady in Indian society. Indians dont have any moral grounds since we
as a society have colonial servitude mentality
in our psyche. We Indians have such social maladies such as caste and clannish mentality . We are pathologically inferiority/superiority complex oriented society. We have no moral grounds to blame Aussies about sledging when we
have our own house is unclean.

These guys are just using race as a card to hide their incompetence, look at players like
Yuvraj
Dhoni
Dravid

If not for all these Thamasha the public would be burning their effigies...

AV Jayaprakash is a bigger cheat than Bucknor and we totally are in denial..

what a good posting Balaji. I'm not sure whether i agree with all of it but at least someone is thinking and not just writing over emotional hogwash. We need a bit of balance in this whole debate.

For god's sake stop ranting about India's performance. I know they r not world champs like aussies but that is not what the current debate is all about. It is not even remotely sane to term the current debate as hogwash. If u actually watched the sydney game u wud know what i'm trying to get at. Even at melbourne yuvi was given out for not edging the ball. If we look hard we may find a couple other decisions going against us. But after the match did a single indian complain about the umpiring standards ?? Rather, everyone (and that includes me) was talking about the poor show of our batters. But sydney wasn't the same irrespective of what u may hav to say. why dont we all try to be a little sane and think of a solution for a change.

I far as I think, sydney showed us that its high time we brought in some more technology into the game. I hav heard many debates about how that would remove the human element from the game. But then other sports are doing it too!!! what about their human element ??? look at tennis for example. there were already 8 line judges 1 chair umpire presiding such a small area of play as a tennis court. In spite of that there were errors and the concept of challenge was introduced. Its already a hit with players and every now and then we see the player winning a challenge against the ruling of a line judge.

I THINK INDIAN TEAM SHOUL COME BACK AN ABANDON THE TOUR S THIS IS NOT FARE WAT IS HAPPENING IN AUTRALIA. THEY THINK THEY CAN CHANGE THE RULES OF THE GAME WHENEVER THEY WANT AS PER CONVENIENCE. JUS BECAUSE FEW OF OUR PLAYERS HAVE ACHIEVED SOME LANDMARKS IN THIS GAME WE CANNOT CONTINUE WITH THE TOUR. THIS TOUR HAS TO BE ABANDONED ITE THE PRIDE OF OUR NATION THAT IS ON STAKE. TELL THOSE AUSTRLIAN MONKEIES TO GET LOST AND HANG ON TO SOME TREES BECAUSE IF THEY COME DOWN INDIANS ARE GONA SREW THEIR HPPINESS.

inzamam was really brave against eng, as he considered a ball tempering penalty of merely 5 runs imposed on pak team as a case of cheating not merely against pak team but as a charge levelled against pak nation.
n here bcci asks team to go n play for the baseless racism charges levelled by ausi m*key against ind. its an insult to nation.

Cricket is crap. To attach Cricket to the pride of India is foolish. To spend so much time talking about some guy making crores because some fools are willing to spend time to watch them play is a shame for tha nation which needs the service of its sons to raise up as a super power.

Do soemthing useful rather than wasting time on these millionaries....

Maybe Bhajji sent it to get support from Sharad Pawar, because Kumble is hopeless, after all this he comes out and says he has no illfeelings towards Aussies

Meanwhile
Yuvraj
Dhoni(A cheat himself claims that bump catch of Pieterson)
Dravid

All three non performers escape using this chaos..

Better boycott all the products/company sponsors of BCCI ( not Indian team )team itself. We are going mad behind cricket and it is not worth if we win some matches. There is a lot of difference between BCCI team and India team. But, since India team is not there, we are left out with BCCI.

if bcci does not call off tour, then team shud protest
by . on Jan 08, 2008 10:29 PM

if shameless bcci is not heeding to team's request then team shud protest in a manner like some1 rightly suggested in the forum.
ind shud send 2 tailenders to open in the perth test, let one of them b out on the score of 0 only. then dont send any other batsman to the crease, let 3rd, 4th and all players in the team to b bowled out coz of 2 minutes time for coming on to bat.
so the ind score will b 0/10.

during ausi batting, let ausi play to the underarm boling from ind. that also like a ball thrown to a child of 3 years old.
