captian of monkeys(pointing) is going to play ipl on this april. i'm warning you mr.monkey we will show our integrity while u coming to india. that time u come will see the cost of integrity which u shown in sydney test match.
Ponting says that the Sydney test has put a sour taste in a couple of the Indian team's mouths. I beg to differ that this test has put a sour taste in practically every Indian cricket fans' mouth. The world has seen how atrocious the umpiring has been and how blatantly he(Ponting) and his pack of wild hunting dogs(as Peter Roebuck has quoted them)were openly cheating the Indian players and the umpires and yet Ponting is surprised that people are questioning his integrity.Aussies say they play the game hard. That doesn't mean cheating publicly and putting pressure on the umpires. They may be world beaters in cricket, similarly they are world beaters in boorish behaviour, unsportsman like conduct. They are kings in sledging(or mental disintegration -a more sophisticated term termed by Steve Waugh)but can't take it when given back to them in the same coin.A gem of a test match was robbed of it's sheen by some horrible umpiring by India's nemesis Steve Bucknor and also by Mark Benson and by some petty tactics by Ponting and his men.Ponting was never liked by Indians and now he never will be liked. One more decent character who has lost his credibility is Gilly and it's really unfortunate that the Aussies stoop so low to win at all costs. With these kind of tactics and umpires playing for you,it's not difficult to win 16 tests consecutively. No matter what, all the controversy would be forgotten soon and the statistic remains in history that Australia won 16 tests in a row(maybe 17).
There is no point in our best players being knocked around, sledged,'umpired' and 'banned' by the Aussies! Let the tour go on. But give Aussies a whack by pulling back Kumble, Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly, Laxman, giving the mantle to Dhoni, with suitable replacements through Gambhir, Rohit Sharma, Uthappa, P.Chawla for the rest of the series. The young blood will give it back to them in the same coin.Unnikrishnan, kerala
Now he's begging for us to stay and play on in Australia...I'm sure the advertisers are banging them since if we pull out, they'll lose A$ 50 million!!! Sounds interesting, this sudden about turn by Mr. "Cheat" Ponting...let's see how he behaves in Perth...my guess is that they will purr and pipe down a bit. Time for our batting to come thru heavily...come on, guys sock them at Perth!
