Sydney test was a height of Hypocrisy
by samit vats on Jan 07, 2008 04:16 PM

Sydney test was a height of Hypocrisy(White racism-bucknor included). Most Bewildering part was that even if the umpires were criticized for initial four days of the match, then also there was no change in behavior on the last day. Ganguly's catch should have been referred to third umpire but mark benson knew in his heart that Ganguly may get the benfit of doubt so he simply consulted ponting and party and raised his finger. On the other hand Gilchrist,Hayden appeal for Harbhajan 's run out was ridiculous yet steve bucknor has not taken even 5 seconds to refer to third umpire.(eventually given not out)

The conclusion is that, out given to Indian Batsman were not "misjudgments" but these decisions were taken in complete prejudice of White supremacist.

Other mindboggling issue is suspension of Harbhajan. These Australian Batsmen hurl all abuses against all asian cricket players yet no brown skin has ever complained to ICC against aussie behaviour.(example - Aussies abuse Murlidharan whole day but he does not reply back)
Best option is India should pull out of tour unless Andrew symonds should apologize to Harbhajan and all the false allegations should be scrapped and Indian Umpires included in ICC's umpire panel.

We didn't bat well either!
by Supreo Mukhopadhyay on Jan 07, 2008 04:05 PM

Umpiring alone can't be the cause of this humiliating defeat. Yuvraj, Dhoni and Jaffer have done nothing to bring any cheer to our team. It's pathetic to see the next gen "would be" captain and vice captain surrender meekly while the veterans still fighting it out. When Kumble can stick it out why not these youngsters? Even Ganguly, who was largely considered to be a burden holding Yuvraj's place in the team has shown the determination to stay and accumulate runs. Dravid may be struggling, but he doesn't give away his wicket cheaply. It's time we review the team composition and may have two separate teams for Test and ODIs.

Bucknor is paid
by Sam on Jan 07, 2008 01:37 PM

Bucknor and Benson are paid by australian for winning the match.

Symonds is not a big monkey but a Gorilla.... Ponting is a biggest traitor of World of Cricket.

India should cancel Australia tour: Farooq

JAMMU, Jan 6: Suggesting team India to call off Australian tour against biased umpiring, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah today said team India should return.

Expressing anger over the attitude of the Australian Cricket team and criticizing the umpiring decisions in the second Test at Sydney, Dr Farooq Abdullah, who is also the president of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) while speaking at the sidelines of the function here, said team India should not play the series and return home.

"The umpires absolutely played a negative role in the second Test, which is not appreciating. I think that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) should protest against the negative umpiring," Dr Farooq added.

The umpiring in the first Test had already indicated the troubles ahead for team India, senior Abdullah said adding, "Despite indications in the first Test, team India played in Sydney but it was unexpected in the second Test. Umpires remained biased throughout the five-day long match".

Dr Abdullah, also a member of BCCI, said, "I will personally talk to BCCI president Sharad Pawar and appeal him to call back the Indian team from the Australian tour. We should not play at all. The wrong judgments are not acceptable to us and I think cancellation of tour is the only option left." (UNI)

Have they bribed the umpires?
by Ram Sharma on Jan 06, 2008 08:12 PM  | Hide replies

They have own this match by cheating and with support from umpires. Have they bribed the umpires for equalling their own 16 match world record?

While India looks for a 3rd Loss,

EVERYONE JUST WRITE A SHORT EMAIL TO:

enquiry@icc-cricket.com

I have sent them a long email. Take out your frustration on them. That is the best way. That is what viewers of Big Brother did when Shilpa Shetty was abused in UK. People wrote to the main production company and they took some type of action. GO ON PLEASE WRITE JUST A SMALL EMAIL TO ICC TO SAY WHY YOU HATE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS AND UMPIRES. AND WHY YOU THINK BCCI ARE NEVER GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT ALL OF THIS... COME ON YOU WASTED 5 DAYS WATCHING THE GAME, 2 MORE MINUTES WON'T MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE.

Dear Sir/Mam,

Today I strongly voice my protest against your organization, that your administration failed miserably in conducting competitive sport at the highest international level.
Today is very bad for cricket due to your organization inability and substandard levels. It is time for your authorities to wake-up and take some serious actions in order to make the great sport called cricket more interesting and worth watching. It is obvious that some ridiculous and dubious decisions changed the course of 2nd test Ind vs Aus 2008 in Sydney, Australia. And I strongly believe that this is due to your selection blunders and organizational flaws.I strongly request your authorities to take stringent action against those umpires MR Benson (England) and SA Bucknor (West Indies) whose flimsy decisions adversely effected the match(2nd test Ind vs Aus 2008 in Sydney, Australia) result and eventually it killed the very spirit of cricketing sport. As we all know ICC reputation is at stake in the recent past due to series of cricketing blunders. It is time for your authorities to make some serious self assessment in order to conduct this sport in a most professional manner.

As a true lover of sport it is my birth right to seek cricket of highest standard at international level. Its is your prime duty to provide us clean and flaw less

Unfair Kumble
by Starwar on Jan 06, 2008 06:04 PM  | Hide replies

It is interesting that Kumble praised Tendulkar , VVS and Bhajji at end of match. However he failed to praise Dada . In second innings Ganguly was topscorer with 51 runs until he was given out wrongly by Australian umpire Benson. Even in first innings Dada had scored a confident 67 and bowled very well too( Dada got Ponting caught but umpires again made error)

So after all this collective contribution from Dada why was skipper not praising him?

hi friends ,,my intention was to say that Kumble didnt undermined anyones efforts. there were other performers also in this match whose contributions were significant .RP Singh in the first innings ,Dravid in the second innigs ,Kumble himself .IN the context of the match he might have mentioned that those three were the biggest positivies. like Sachin scoring a big hundred and Harbhajan scoring with bat etc ..opportunity shouldnt be made to criticise each and every statement

Because dada is a great politician in indian cricket like Deve Gowda in Karnataka. Because of him only so many guys and young talented players doesn't come into picture in the early stages like Dhoni, karthik and we missed a good captain Anil Kumble because of his politics. The interest and respect for the indian cricket has gone down with bettings from our legend player "Azaruddin". After this the indian cricket has suffered lot from internal politics from our legend no:2 "dada".
