Australia's shame
by India on Jan 06, 2008 05:14 AM

Where is the need for a team like Australia to get help from umpires? They are strong as they are. All the centurions in this test for Australia received help from umpires. They all were out well before they reached their 50's but were given reprieves several times by the umpires both Bucknor and Benson alike. Even if Australia wins today they should be ashamed of themselves and the players should hang their heads in shame.

what choices we got, face Collapse from Lee and Company OR stay on little more overs. If the selectors give chance for an opener that is faster, Dravid can play down the ladder or whatever.

Mr. Dravid is going to make a new record by batting all Aussie balls and frustrate them to a very new high. He wont let any Aussie win any match in any series

Australia still has good chance to win till Bucknor is on the ground and super-bookie Dawood is in Pak

What team? It is not always a big concern.

RP made it look hard to stop a 4 by Hayden from Ishant bowling. Forget about advising the budding players.
Competition among players is very high, Tendulkar rotated himself to make Yuvi face Lee even during the tough time. He even made other tail-enders face the music by switching over.

Even during T20, both RP and Yuvraj dropped Joginder Sharma even though he was not a big competition for them bowling wise. Though he was crucial in winning T20 when Bhajji did not want to bowl the last over to Pakistan.
RP gets dropped from team without warning. So he knows how to behave with younger competition.
Then the competitive selector from top downsized the team and Rohit was gone because of no political backing.

Selection politics from top is big in India.

Everyone competing for their slots and thus little guidance and support for younger players on the field.

Ozzie play like someone put their hand within the Bee Hive and they are on the chase.

Hi DS
I suggest that you read Kumble's comments about the test before criticising players.

Write his comments. I am pointing to a view that we also need to consider during player orientation.
Everyone says RP was rusted in first test match because he had not played for long and he did better in second test.

It's "H Y P O C R I S Y". People are born short, ugly, dumb and what not. Some people have bad teeth, some have bad voices. Some have accomplished things in life that people like you can only dream, or trash up in forums like this where they won't charge you money for bad English

Dude, when you want to post, the minimal amount of looking up a dictionary would help. BTW, for a person to play 15 years of cricket and be cheated of 100s while getting out for 90s, is a major hurdle, be it umpiring errors or unfortunate accidents. It's "H Y P O C R I S Y" and you haven't looked in the mirror or heard yourself over a tape recorder. Human beings are not born perfect. Some are short, some are fat, some have bad teeth, some are ugly. Some are really talented and bright, some are dumb, and some have a combination of characteristics. If 10dulkar has survived 18 years with all the politics that goes on in this part of the world, there must be some amount of talent that nobody can take away from him. I am not a fan, but I realized he has done a whole lot in life that people like you and I can only dream.

difference between ausi n ind.
by uncle shame on Jan 05, 2008 11:46 PM

difference between ausi n ind.      although, ausi has won consecutive 15 matches, they r not the best team just for their consecutive wins. but it is also bcoz they play for winning all the games whatever may b the conditions or opponents.
for the ausis winning is a habit n rule whereas for ind winning is an exception. when out of the 5 match series, if ind win first match, they vl try for draws on 4 of the remaining 5 matches in series coz, ind does nt hv confidence of winning, n for us winning is an exception rather than a rule.
