Hayden u listen to THIS..!!!
by Viji Damodaran on Jan 06, 2008 12:20 PM

It seems now that Australians have lost their ability to win against India (post the T20 thrashing they recd from India)...!!!

Now they are asking the umpires to play for them..!!!! Umpires have been given the task of winning the Test series against India..!!!

Shame on ICC..!! All the new technology they have brought into cricket is a WASTE OF MONEY if they start asking umpires to play the game and make a team win through biased decisions..!!!

Opening the Batting.
by Shrikant Bhat on Jan 06, 2008 11:44 AM

I think Jaffer and Sehwag shld open the batting followed by Dravid,Sachin,Laxman,Ganguly,DhoniKarthik,Kumble,Harbhajan,R.P.Singh,Ishant Sharma. May be stats might not support sehwag but 1 thing for sure his 1 good innings and that too blazing innings can change the tables not only for him but also for the Indian Team. I dont think Indians have performed poorly till now other than their dismal batting display in 1st innings in MCG. But compared to other touring teams in australia Indians have definitely performed better.

Australia are poor winners
by India on Jan 06, 2008 05:38 AM  | Hide replies

Where is the need for a team like Australia to get help from umpires? They are strong as they are. All the centurions in this test for Australia received help from umpires. They all were out well before they reached their 50's but were given reprieves several times by the umpires both Bucknor and Benson alike. On the other hand not one Indian batsman or bowler got any help from both umpires. Even if Australia wins today they should be ashamed of themselves and the players should hang their heads in shame.

Yes, India was unlucky. But Ponting was unlucky when given out in first innings LBW when he clearly hit the ball. Sure, he was given not out when he should've been out earlier. So that's two bad decisions. Players make mistakes, umpires make mistakes. I remember many a tour of India where decisions were clearly in favour of India. Get over it. If the Indian players are focussed on the poor umpiring as you are, then what chance have they of having the self-belief needed to win in Australia. Here's to a good last day.

If Kumble gets all his LBW decisions correctly, he would have crossed 1000 wickets by now. Umpires have not seen such a kind of bowling and don't know what to give, so they are collectively giving not outs in his bowling. We want Decisions to be made correctly, not the notouts for indecisiveness of Umpires

Are you kidding? You are naive. Biased umpiring was the reason West Indies and England could not beat Australia between 1960-1990(except for maybe just one series by West Indies). As you know both of them had great teams before. Umpires made sure Australia would win. This umpiring cheating nonsene in Australia is nothing new. Anyway you are entitled to your views.

Aussies are wusses
by Tanwir on Jan 06, 2008 03:30 AM

Rakesh Narayan your comments (along with Jyoti and a couple of others) are the only ones making sense on this forum. All the rest just seem to be very happy and content in India-bashing. I really wonder if these so called "fans" really want? Why are they reading this article? Why are they replying on this forum? They just a bunch of frustrated losers who jump on the Indian band wagon when we are winning. I bet they were all praise for our team when we were winning on the last Australian tour and lifting the Twenty20 world cup.

As Jyoti correctly pointed out, Aussies complain and whine they play India coz we are the only ones to not take their crap lying down.

All the true fans out there, lets support our team till the end and put all the losers on this forum to shame when it the series score is 1-1 tomorrow (without the help of umpires btw).

Go INDIA!!

Aussie's real test of character tomorrow
by Samir Malhotra on Jan 06, 2008 02:04 AM

Let's see how sporting a declaration the Aussies make tomorrow. My guess is they would take it safe. Today, their batsmen took the bad light call even when they could have chosen to bat four more overs and make the declaration come faster tomorrow morning.

It's been a while that the Aussies have reached the final day of a test without a clear advantage. I would love to see what happens tomorrow when we take a couple of quick wickets in the morning.
