shame on you Mr Gavaskar
by santosh kushwaha on Jan 07, 2008 12:17 PM

It takes years to earn respect and only seconds to loose it.
mr. Gavaskar was a great servant of Indian cricket with his brave effort. But now this useless guy is spoiling the Indian cricket. He is the one who is responsible of choosing these umpires for this series. He is responsible for choosing one after another worse coach for team India.
Please Mr Gavaskar, leave the Indian cricket where it is for the sake of better future.

umpires

So many obvious decision against only indians; it is mindset of icc elite panel umpires is that indians appeal more and they never debate there decisions against indians.
if so many wrong decisions go against australia they will make hue and cry and the immediate match the umpire will never stand.
is bcci do not have any teeth in icc they do not want lodge complaint?????

when indians will stand protest, we are from winning this test we are going towards loosing test or struggling
aust playing with 13 players and psychological war of accuses

not fair

GAVASKAR-------- MOST DANGEROUS POLITICIAN
by Sharad Saxena on Jan 05, 2008 06:34 PM

Sunil Gavaskar is the great cricketer rarely produced in the history of the game and I am a big fan of Mr Gavaskar

But for the past few years it seems on many occasion that Mr Gavaskar is trying to politicise the Indian cricket which is a big threat 2 Indian cricket and making things difficult for selectors by creating confusion

1) Praising Jaffer, Sehwag and Gambhir that they must be in the team...then who will sit out

2) When Ganguli was in bad form and decided to play cunnty cricket in England then Mr Gavaskar said " The county cricket standard is not good enough these days " Target was clear that Ganguli should not be considered in the national team even if he performs good in county cricket

3) Biased approach on Sachin with soft corner compared to Ganguly and Dravid

4) Never give positive suggestions which help cricket to grow....always busy with critics, critics and critics in a polished political language

And things become more severe when Mr Ravi Shastri adds his voice to him though everybody knows how many times shastri was deserved to be selected in the national team

Neutral Umpire
by Rajagopal Sadagopan on Jan 04, 2008 05:53 PM

Gavaskar had said that ICC will stick to neutral umpires to avoid the suspicion of bias. While error of honest judgement by any umpire or referees can be condoned as human factor, the well known biased umpires, neutral or otherwise must not officiate in fictures in which the teams which are likely to be biased against are participating.

The fitting case to be considered is the Jamican Bucknor. It is well known that he is fully biased against India.

Also there were several instances in international matches when players fron Indian sub-continent are fined, that too very heavily. But players from white countries, especially Australia are let off even without reprimand for worse offences. The slidging, repeated shouting at umpires, intimadating the opposing players etc. are the trade mark of Australians, Let Gavaskar and his committee look into this and give an unbiased and uniform guidlines to the match referees.

After the wonderful century the little master was after protecting his average, otherwise a player of his stature would not have exposed all the tail enders to fiery bret lee by taking a single on the 1st ball every over & thereby robbing INDIA some more valuable runs

Why Sachin - even Shivnarine Chanderpaul used to do the same - remember the Port of Spain Test in 2001-02 which India won.

amal u have rightly said.the fools will keep on saying that sachin has silenced his critics with this century. but i maintain as always that sacin is the the most selfish player.he plays for himself only and not for the teams cause.he played for his records and sacrificed teams interest. initially he played for his century.at later stages he wanted to remain not out so that he can have a record average at sydney against his name. for that purpose he deliberately exposed the tailenders by taking single off the first ball, so that the tailenders get out quickly. but fortunately for india, tailenders scored runs today for a change. u fool indians when will u realise the real nature of this sachin?

steve bucknor's residency
by Suri Santhanam on Jan 04, 2008 03:19 PM

Read that Steve Bucknor has been given residency in Australia. In that case he should not stand as an umpire in matches involving Australia. Sunny please probe further and take necessary steps

Before starting of this series i said it there will be billy and bucknor and they will make difficullty to to indians rather than their bowlers. also i told that it's not jaffer and yuvaraj, it should be sehwag and pathan . then result will be good. insted of pathan you can play anybody who is better than pathan. if you want know my prediction go through old rediff articles when pak was here.
