By giving our domestic players a chance to play against legends like Chris Crains, Brian Lara etc i think they are doing indian cricket a huge huge favour something which the Bcci never have done and will never ever do..SO instead of criticizing the ICL i think it should be encouraged.BCCI, by banning the ICL are only trying to go against their own policy of promoting the game.. IF they are so much for cricket and not for the money then why don't MR pawar and the rest get together and remove the ban on the ICL players..??
ICL means idiots cricket league.star players are playing in icl only for money. these are already fixed matches. they are making fool. this is a stupid Z group activity. just think klusenar is playing with some galli mohalla guys?????? isnot it a stupidity?????????????

icl is backed by great kapil , that is enough, no indian player will match for another century
Instead of banning the players do not select these players in any of the teams, automatically they will understand that they are not required and will stop playing cricket from their respective state teams.

THey have join ICL because of not getting selected even after playing very good in domestic cricket Most of this player have been let down by BCCI and other state association who are busy playing politics Otherwise how u explain Praveen kumar getting selected and suddenly drop for Ishant sharma without getting much opportunity to play.

who told ishant sharma was dropped. he is playing their right now in australia. and all this cricketeres in question were given a chance at one point or other but they were not able to prove their worth.
if you really look at Bond's history, he plays 2 matches and sits atleast 10 matches due to injury he is such a fit person. so he cannot give 100 percent in ICL, so i would advice ICL not to engage Shane Bond, he is going to be a Huge loss for ICL.

It is good ICL is recruiting him bcoz than when next time india plays newzealand bond will not be their thus increasing chances of india to win. Good ICL. recruit some current aussie players also and umpire bucknor too. he is too good.

Rahul Dravid is key player to India to win the test matches,Pls see the record his batting Average is around 70 in the test matches India won and he made 25% of total team score. He is very important player than Tendulkar in test matches...if Dravid stands the momnetum keep going ..once he is out the rest will gets out within hrs...the best example is the first test match

ICL has lots of money for international players where from this money comes from is there any account for the money which is leasurely spent on retired players and current players?

it is not public money which is spend on madame gandhi. first ask account of that.

why should ICL pay for retired players. Isnt that the job of BCCI? ICL is a private company out there to make profit. They will sell what sells.
I don't think that ICL is right in roping in retired and not so good players from abroad. Shane Bond was no doubt one of the fieriest bowlers in his hay-days but of late (for over a couple of years) he is faced with fitness problems repeatedly, thus making him miss many tests and ODIs.
What is the use of ICL bringing in players like Inzamam, Lara, Cairns, Harris, Harvey, Bond etc.?
They should rather rope in budding players in the age group of 20-24 from abroad (who are not part of their national team), preferably with the consent of respective cricket boards and pose serious competition to Indian players in ICL league matches.
This can only help improve the Indian playing standards in future, if not immediately.
I do not understand why BCCI is doing every thing to prevent players from joining ICL. If players are allowed to play in England (English county) then why they can not play ICL.I think only Suprenme court can intervene here as you can not expect any thing from politicians. If Agriculture Minister of India can be board president then why players can not play in ICL afer all players have very short span of shelf life and politicians are allowed to remain in politics till they die.Our BCCI is not only preventing players from playing in ICL but forcing other boards as well to prevent players to join ICL.
rediff is a big fraud.. just picking up articles from other sites... this one is taken word by word from cricinfo... its a big shame that rediff does not have writers who can create articles of their own...
