No question that Hoggy retired as much to join IPL as his directionless career with Australia. With most of franchises yet to fill vacancy, and with his pretentions of being an allrounder, no doubt that he ll be looking at earning a few hundred thousands before retiring into the sunset
Hogg, Contrary to what your arrogant captain Ponting said before the series about your bowling, everyone knows you are club standard spinner but have a loud mouth. Your bowling has been easy fodder for Indians in this series, so please dont retire.

How many World Cups have Kumble and H Singh won? That's right - zero. Brad Hogg - two. Hmmmmm. Who has the better ODI bowling average -Brad Hogg. Hmmmmm. He is was never a test bowler and had a problem getting in front of one S Warne and then S McGill during most his career. More than handy ODI bowler, excellent fielder and had some batting ability (although rarely needed). A lot of batsmen couldn't pick his wrong'un. He will be missed. Bring in David Hussey I say and let him be the spinner (gun batsman of course)

Hey Stupid: How many world cups has Manmohan Singh won? Zero.. How many has John Howard won? Three.
How many world cups has George Bush won? Zero. Hence proved beyond doubt that Kumble and H Singh are equivalent of George Bush and Team India is the greatest Super Power on earth.. :-)
Hold your logic mate. Cricket is a team game, and no one wins or loses matches by themselves. If they were so inclined they would have played tennis, taking their sports bag across the ATP tour. .:-)
By the way, I hope (for your sake) that David Hussey too wins some world cups for Australia .. :-) Cheers.
The 37-year-old is among a large number of international players who have recently retired and the third Australian in the past month after Adam Gilchrist [Images] and Shaun Tait.

well he didn't actually retire - he's just on a "break" from which they apparently never come back. Don't really read the cricket news avidly but did spot this article at the BBC website about a month or maybe 6 weeks ago

What form? At best he is first class standard and at worse he is club standard. He is one of the worst bowlers to have played for Aus and was selected because McGill was injured.
