If pundits assume that IPL will be a runaway success-it will be a stupid assumption. Remember IPL was borne not to promote cricket but to counter ICL; a venture borne out of revenge & sole aim to wipe out private entrepreneurship-has less chance to succeed; Talking of BCCI-it's laughable to see their 'professionalism,; their recent high voltage auction drama smacked of arrogance and moneypower------
the problem with ICL is that they don't have grounds. they played last 20-20 tournament at panchkula. how can u get revenue playing at a single place. that is why it did not get that much of response.also media coverage is less.

Well done Kapil Dev & Co. Looking forward to seeing Damien Martyn, Michel Kasprowicz & Matthew Elliot in action in the next edition. All the best for a thundering success of ICL

Its the ICL which layed the platform and the idea behind the launch of IPL is to see that Mr. Chandra does not succeed in his venture. The BCCI backed IPL who not have come into existence had the ICL not started. So lets all say well done ZEE and Mr. Subash Chandra and wish them all the very best.
